All of a sudden the Lord will say to you, “I never knew you. You did alot of things, but we had no intimacy.” (Matt. 7:21-23)
Dearly beloved, God’s blessing does
necessarily mean ap-proval! King Solomon became a defeated man through his ownlust. Now let us be soberly instructed and fully warned that com-muning with the Lord is truly divine intimacy and concourse. Thisis the ONE THING NEEDFUL (remember Mary and Martha)!Biblically, it is the only purpose for mankind!
Song of Solomon says, “They made me the keeper of the vineyards, but mine own vineyard I did not keep.”
Ask yourself, do you have fullbarns and an empty heart? Are you suffering from the barrennessof busy-ness? Or are you rejoicing in the fullness of God with ared-hot heart after Him, head over heels in love with Christ Jesus?
Now glean hope and help from both the Scriptures and the localchurch, and get into a deeper mode of preparation for the soon secondreturn of the Lord Jesus Christ, that He might come for a Bride pre-pared and pure! It can’t be another way! “It was given to her that sheshould
clothe herself in bright linen white and pure
which are the
right-eous acts of the saints
.”—Rev. 19:8 So there is a duty, an obligationthat we are called to, a measure of responsibility and authority to dothose things. Anything that would get in the way and hinder us fromthat, we must see as our enemy. The Scriptures call us to fight the good fight of faith! (1 Tim. 6:12)We can’t do that unless we have an awareness of
we are dealingwith! Look to the end of the course, “I have fought the good fight of faith … there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, and to allthose who love His appearance.” (2 Tim. 4:7-8) They long to be in Hispresence. They can’t stand to be away from Him, and they understandthat is the crown of righteousness in Him! May Jesus richly bless you.
