Le Chateau du Broutel
Le Chateau dates back to 1714 and is situated in over 40 acres of beautiful grounds.In addition to the main Chateau building the estate comprises of extensive outbuildings, two large housesand a newly refurbished £1million West Wing containing 30 en suite bedrooms. The school will be stayingin the Écurie Building, refurbished around five years ago..A superb patio overlooks the Chateau’s private lake and the manicured lawns with extensive woods risingin the background.
Le Chateau is situated on the edge of the small historical town of Rue. Originally established as a Romanoutpost, it grew in prosperity in the 6
century due to its port and later became the capital of the region. Itis located 5 minutes off the A16 motorway which links Calais-Amiens-Paris.
The visit will be staffed by instructors employed by Manor Adventure and the following staff from school:Mr Prince (Headteacher and First Aider)Mr Bancroft (Deputy Headteacher and Year Six Teacher)Miss Capper (Year Six Teacher and First Aider)Miss Reynolds (Year Two teacher & French Speaker)Mr Bateman (Parent and Assistant to several after school clubs)Miss Evans (Trainee Teacher)
A continental breakfast will be given, a cooked two course lunch or a packed lunch and an evening meal.In addition, drinks are available during the day and evening.Meal times are:BREAKFAST 8.00 8.45amLUNCH 12.30 1.30pmEVENING MEAL 5.30 6.30pm
Mr Prince and Miss Capper are the nominated first aiders on the visit. Pupils taking medicine need to givethis to the first aiders in a clearly labelled container with a completed school medical form. Inhalers andtravel sickness tables should be kept with the child, but the first aiders must be made aware that thechildren have these with them.
