Taking the Lead in your Life and Your World Beyond Bragging: The art of Self Promotion
Coaching Seminar - June 14, 2006 Reduce nervousness in networking situations by actively listening,
asking thoughtful questions, making eye contact, and being pre-
sent (not worrying about what you’ll say next) rather than trying to
impress people.
Ask what your managers, colleagues and clients appreciate most
about you. You may be surprised and you may learn that you
take many of your best traits for granted.
Reflect often on your strengths and accomplishments. Write them
down and review them every day. By reminding yourself of what
you do right, you’ll be able to present and promote yourself with
more confidence.

About the Little Sisters of the Poor:

The Congregation of the Little Sisters of the Poor, an international
institute, was founded in France in 1839, when Blessed Jeanne Ju-
gan opened her home to Jesus Christ in the person of an elderly,
poor, blind woman.

Today Little Sisters care for the aged poor in homes in thirty-one
countries around the world, with thirty-two homes located in North
America. The care of the elderly, the congregation's sole apostolate,
is sealed by a special fourth vow of hospitality. Catholic women aged
18-40, who seek a life of prayer, fraternal sharing and humble ser-
vice, may seek entrance. The formation program includes an initial
