Description

The price to have your Pet" fixed has almost doubled since last year! The average cost, per current SC Animal Care research, is anywhere from $50.00 - $150.00 from a Spay and Neuter Clinic to around $175.00 - $350.00 from a private South Carolina Veterinarian...using sterile surgery technique and post-op pain management.

PS - the baby Puppies in the photos are my first "Grand-Puppies". My sweet Daughter took in a pregnant Dog that she was sure was abandoned in her cul-de-sac. Not much later than she adopted "Lucy the Dog" off the street, she delivered a gallgillion puppies! My daughter found "good homes" for all of the pups and kept one (the one with brown spots is now named "BrownCow" - she's a fat, rolly-polly, happy go lucky lil thing!) The term "good homes" is very debatable in my book. People set out with the best of intentions, but what really is the fate of a "FREE PUPPY"? When someone does not see a value in something, it is all too easy to just pass the responsibility of a "dog" over to the already over crowded Pound. Puppies don't stay puppies very long at all. Some can really out grow their "cuteness," too. My only point is this: How much better to take advantage of low cost Spay and Neuter Options BEFORE unwanted lives come into the picture?

I want to clarify something. A lot of what I write concerns my "immediate Neighbors" in the US State of South Carolina. But we are ALL Neighbors in a world-wide Community. If you reside in the United States, you can pretty much just substitute "SC" or "South Carolina" for whatever state of the union you live in, and the advice is still going to ring true for you. For example, I just tried Googling HumaneSociety.tx (for Texas) and this is what I found: Humane Society of North Texas - HomePhotographs of animals available for adoption, adoption policies, volunteer opportunities, and calendar of events. www.hsnt.org/ - 8k - Cached - Similar pages - Note this Available Animals Dogs Contact Us Donations Staff Press Releases Go Back More results from hsnt.org » A very excellent link to the same kind of information, just in a different state. The principals in the article are true for anybody. THERE ARE AFFORDABLE OPTIONS NEAR WHERE YOU LIVE TO GET YOUR PET SPAYED OR NEUTERED. The only unacceptable option is to continue letting unwanted litters keep coming into the world for no real reason when adequate resources are "out there" just waiting to be discovered. Do not let your local "Veterinarian" make you loose hope, either. Yes, the "Vet" is very expensive. But I know for a fact that somewhere near where YOU live, there is someone with a coupon or voucher that can get you the discounted services you need for your Spay or Neuter Services. Above all else, remember that your Family is important....and let's face it, your beloved Pet IS a part of your Family, too. Good Luck! | animalcare-sc.blogspot.com
