Student Attendance TiedTo Individual Success,District Finances
Businesses expect their employees to be atwork every day and on time. Thoseattendance habits can be learned as earlyas elementary school if parents andeducators will work together to reinforce theimportance of being in class every day andon time.As C-FB ISD begins the second semester,we want to remind everyone how importantattendance is. We know students who havestrong attendance records are more likely tohave academic success. As Woody Allenonce said, "Eighty percent of success isshowing up."Not only is it important academically forstudents to attend school each day, butdistrict finances are tied directly to theirattendance. With almost 25,500 studentsenrolled in C-FB ISD, about 96% of ourstudents attend classes each day.
