APPLICATIONS

The highly integrated SF-2040G solution isdesigned for productivity with minimal setuptime. Two removable rechargeable batteriesprovide more than 8 hours performanceto get you through a full day of surveyingwithout the need to carry spare batteries.Simply connect your controller solution tothe serial port, and receive position data inNMEA format or for additional monitor andcontrol capability, use a NavCom Partnercontroller solution. The housing is rugged andwaterproof, designed to survive a 2m-poledrop, and temporary complete immersionin water.The primary operating mode uses the StarFireservice providing decimeter level accuracyfor immediate results in the field; great fornavigation and relocation of existing assets.The two onboard WAAS/EGNOS channelsprovide free GPS corrections, which coupledwith dual frequency measurements andNavCom’s enhanced SBAS algorithm typicallyprovide half-meter real-time accuracy.

BENEFITS

The SF-2040G receiver uses our NCT-2000DGPS engine, of which several thousand arein use worldwide. The SF-2040G incorporatesour patented interference suppressionand multi-path mitigation, up to 50Hz rawdata rate, and geodetic quality positioning upto 25 hz.The antenna utilizes a tri-band design with anintegral ground plane to track GPS, SBAS andStarFire satellites all through one element.This new antenna design provides excellentphase center stability.Coupled with the StarFire subscriptionservice, the SF-2040G delivers 10 cm positionfixes without the use of a second receiverserving as a base station. Add the RTKOption and an external radio, and theSF-2040G is capable of performing centimeteraccurate RTK surveys.

FLEXIBLE INTERFACE

The SF-2040G is easily configured by theincluded Windows®-based utility program.For system integrators needing maximumflexibility, the receiver offers the NCT binaryuser interface that allows complete commandand control of the GPS and L-Band Module,thus enabling customization of the interfaceand receiver operation.
