PNEUMONIA 
Pneumonia refers to the inflammation of the pulmonary parenchyma usually accompanied by the inflammation of bronchioles and often pleurisy and, it ischaracterised by respiratory embarrassment or sometimes toxaemia. Upperrespiratory infections are accompanied with respiratory abnormalities and very oftenthey descend to pneumonia. (Lughano; Dominic, 1996)There is no universal classification of pneumonias in veterinary medicine; But thereare
numerous classifications such as :
Etiological:
  Viral pneumonia, Mannheimiosis, Histophilosis pneumonia,distemper pneumonia, allergic pneumonia, etc.
Epidemiological: 
Enzootic pneumonia, contagious bovinepleuropneumonia, etc.
Exudate
:Suppurative, fibrinous, or granulomatous pneumonias.
Topographical (distribution): 
Lobar, lobular, diffuse, interstitial, focal,etc.
Miscellaneous
:Progressive pneumonia, proliferative pneumonia,atypical pneumonia, pneumonitis, etc. (Alfonso López, 2007)
