Race Start: 12.00 noonRegistration: 09.45 am until 11.15 am
 
Our annual road race is held over a testingcourse and attracts all standards of runner.It is also an ideal training run for thosecontemplating spring/early summer marathons,especially London and Edinburgh.Registration is from 09.45am to 11.15am andwill take place at Ferguson Park, Rosewell,the home of Whitehill Welfare FC. The racewill commence at 12.00 noon and the start,east of Rosewell Road end on the A6094,is approximately ve minutes walk fromRegistration.The course lies to the west of the town ofRosewell which is located seven miles southof Edinburgh and approximately three mileswest of the junction of the A7, A68 and A720Edinburgh City Bypass at the Sheriffhall Junction.The race comprises a ten mile loop set in ascenic, rural location, run mainly on ‘B’ and ‘C’class roads and unclassied routes. Starting atthe west of Rosewell village, the route follows agentle incline to Gourlaw Farm before droppingdown to the bottom of Roslin Glen at two milesfollowed by a steep rise for 400 metres, afterwhich it is nice and easy before dropping tothe four mile mark in the village of Auchendinny.There is a climb between the ve and six miles,thereafter, apart from a small hump at aroundseven miles, the route is generally downhillinto Rosewell. Not far after the eight milemark approaching Rosewell, the route veersleft up Thornton Road before turning into thegrounds of Whitehill House Golf Course, pastthe majestic Whitehill House and up the treelined private road to the nish at the east of thevillage. Ferguson Park is a short walk from thenishing area where changing, showering andtoilet facilities will be available.Water (cups) will be provided at six miles andat the nish (bottles) and free refreshments willbe served to all nishers at the nish. Individual,team and spot prizes will be presented duringthe nishers buffet.There will be a time limit of 2.5 hours for therace, after which, route signs will be removedand course marshals will disperse.

By entering the race, you agree to abide bythese conditions of entry and any instructionsgiven you by the organisers or ofcials of theLasswade 10. Under the conditions of thepermission to stage the event, we regret thatwe are unable to accept entries from walkers,wheelchair athletes or runners with baby joggers.
Medical Condition
This race is over ten miles which is an extremetest of an individual’s physical and mentalstrength and has with it the potential forserious injury. All participants are stronglyadvised to consult their doctor prior toundertaking any exercise programme orrunning event. Weather in March can be verychangeable and entrants could be exposed torisks from dehydration or hypothermia. It is theresponsibility of all participants to ensure thatthey are medically t to participate in the race.
Entry
The race has an entry limit of 450 and therewill be no entries on the day. Entry fees arenon-refundable and the event will only becancelled or postponed due to unforeseen orunavoidable circumstances. Should the racebe postponed for any reason, race fees willbe held over for a place on the due date,however, if entrants are unable to participateon the revised date, they may apply fora refund of their entry fee. The organisers’liabilities in respect of costs and expensesincurred by entrants as a result of cancellationor delay will solely be the entry fee paid totake part in the event.

Conrmation of entry will be sent beforehandand race numbers will be available forcollection from Registration on the Sunday.Registration is from 09:45 - 11:15 am atFerguson Park, Rosewell, Midlothian, the homeof Whitehill Welfare FC.
