2. Materi Pokok
Teks monolog berbentuk descriptive contohnya:
The three families below are going to Indonesia on a weekend. Work in pairs. Study the
information about the hotels below. Which hotel would you advise each family to stay at?
Give your reason!

1. Mr. and Mrs. Robert: a young couple on their honeymoon. They would like somewhere quite and
romantic, with a good restaurant. They would prefer a room with a bathroom rather than a shower.
2. Mr. and Mrs. Michael: an elderly couple who wants somewhere as central and as
cheap as possible.

3. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson: A couple in their mid-thirties, with a son aged 10 and a daughter aged 8.
They have Indonesia so they won't often be eating in the hotel. Mr. Anderson likes to go jogging in the
morning. Their children want a hotel where there will be other young people.

Indonesia Hotel
An International deluxe hotel in one of Amsterdam's most fashionable areas. Indonesia Hotel
has 250 guest rooms with beautiful scenery. All the bedrooms have telephone, minibar, color
TV and hairdryer.
The hotel has 2 restaurants, "Srikandi" which serves Indonesian food and "Sembadra", an
elegant Javanese restaurant.
NO ROOM CHARGE for 1 child under 12 sharing room with 2 adults.
Executive room US $99 per night.

Garuda Hotel
Once a private house with a rich history, this hotel is highly recommended for the standard of its
accommodation. Because of the nature of the building all rooms are different. each with its own
character, and they are on a number of levels. There are larger superior rooms with a view of
the lake.
Downstairs you will find a quite little bar and small breakfast room. The hotel has no lift and
some of the stairs are quite steep so please request a downstairs room if the stairs could be a
problem. All rooms have private shower.
Sanjaya Hotel
A small hotel of only 16 rooms. Situated in a quiet. residential area behind the park, it
overlooks a small river and the park itself.
The bedrooms have their own shower, TV and radio Although the hotel does not have a
restaurant or bar, dining room is very pleasant and drinks are served r-request. We
recommend early booking because of the limited accommodation available
