Power behind the push
For the really big jobs, you need acrawler dozer with the fortitude to pushdirt, mud, or whatever Mother Naturedeals on a given day. While the power-train provides the driving force behindany crawler dozer, you need a heavy-duty engine to power it. The 1650K and1850K get their power from high torque, long lasting, 6-cylinder diesel enginesthat maximize productivity. These ruggedengines are extremely durable andfeature outstanding fuel economy. With a 5.9-liter engine in the 1650K andan 6.7-liter engine powering the 1850K,these dozers keep pushing on, hour afterproductive hour.
Premium push power
Smart engineering makes the most ofpower and speed—the torque converterautomatically matches speed to loadconditions for optimal push power whilepreventing driveline shock, protectingyour investment. Torque multiplicationdelivers maximum drawbar pull—onthe 1850K, that’s 65,200 lbs. (290.0 kN)in first gear.
Three-speed PowershiftTransmission smoothes the ride
The Case three-speed PowershiftTransmission provides outstandingdurability and performance, withelectronically controlled, smoothlymodulated shifts. The PowershiftTransmission features two specialmodes, Auto Shift and Auto Load.In the Auto Shift Mode, the unit shiftsfrom 1st forward to 2nd reverse, andback to 1st forward for faster, easier, andmore efficient operation. This is reallyhandy when you’re doing precisiongrading work.In the Auto Load Mode, thetransmission downshiftsautomatically whenengine RPM drops belowthe preset speed, allow-ing you to concentrateon the job. Auto Loadis designed for highspeed bearing loadssuch as light grading.
Doze where you want to…PowerSteer moves you in the rightdirection, wherever it is
The exclusive Case hydraulic variablePower Steer feature delivers maximumpower to both tracks. This feature letsyou push a full load of material througha turn with no problem. A single, easy-to-use lever controls both directionand steering. The drivetrain deliversoutstanding power to each track throughbeefy double-reduction final drives. There’s absolutely no need to brake orlift the blade to lighten the load whenturning—no wonder we call it “PowerSteer.” This means you’ll make fewerpasses to move material for greaterproductivity. You’ll find these dozersare much more productive thancompetitive machines using clutchand brake steer systems. And thePower Steer feature makes the dozereasy to run, improving productivity, reducing operator fatigue, and loweringoperating cost per cubic yard.
Counter-rotation gives you maximummaneuverability. One track movesforward, one track reverses, and thedozer rotates in place. The 1650K and1850K can turn withintheir own length. It doesn't get anybetter than that.
