IMT’s
(Institute of Management And Technology) culture and structure on the basisof following:
Personal Enactment
We know that culture can be understood, in part, through an examination of the behavior of organization members and thus personal enactment is the behavior that reflects theorganization’s values and in particular, personal enactment by the top managers provides insightinto these values. Based on this the organization named Institute of Management Technology‘svalues can be analyzed as follows:
Vision:
“To be the premier management and technology institution, a student. Focused learningcommunity, recognized for its research and teaching”
Mission:
“To promote excellence in management and technology education, IMT preparesstudents to be leaders who shape the future. Towards this end, IMT will provide a conducive andrewarding environment for faculty and student to ignite and sustain a passion for excellence”At IMT they don’t restrict the student’s growth to mere curriculum; instead they arealways looking for new ways to do things in line with a constantly changing world and ever rising information levels.
 
What separates IMT from many other B- schools is the true camaraderie that exists among thestudents and total dedication with which the students remain involved in the activities of theinstitute despite the stiffly competitive atmosphere. The remarkable sense of community at IMTstarts in the classrooms, where students and faculty together and learn from each other. IMTgraduates, equipped with energy and wisdom, leave an indelible mark at their workplace,demonstrating a passion for excellence.
Rites and Ceremonies
Relatively elaborate sets of activities that are enacted time and again on important occasions areknown as organizational ceremonies and rites. Ceremonies also bond organization memberstogether.The rites and ceremonies at IMT can be described on the basis of the six kinds of rites that wehave in an organization which are as follows:
1.
Rites of passage
show that an individual’s status has changed, like at IMT with the promotion of the faculties or at the time of their retirement from work there areceremonies for both. 
2.
Rites of enhancement
reinforce the achievements of individuals, like at IMT thestudents are rewarded on the basis of various achievements at the Convocation Ceremonyheld every year. Besides this the students with highest marks are rewarded withcertificates at the INSTITUTE DAY. 
3.
Rites of renewal
emphasize change in the organization and commitment to learning andgrowth, like at IMT there is a consistent renewal over the years like the development of the campus, new programs, IT Labs, Learning Resource Centres and InternationalLinkages.
4.
Rites of integration
unite diverse groups or teams within the organization and renewcommitment to the larger organization, like at IMT there are numerous events that help in
