Prologue.I am surrounded by twilight, not black but deep purple as in those last few momentsof a long summer evening just before the star scattered moonless night descends.I see nothing, I heard no sound, I am without any sensation of feeling as I floataimlessly in the void. Like unto those images one sees in news reels or S/F films of astronauts slowly turning, arms akimbo, weightless, and without direction. But I need no suit or helmet, no air feed tank, just my natural self, clothed as I choose. For I am a Witch, though some of my traditionally minded compatriots consider memore of a Wizard or Magician and that I am given to understand can be anundesirable thing. Never the less Witch, Wizard or Alien I am embarking on a project to advance myknowledge of my “Shadow Self” or as I prefer to think of her “My Hidden One”.It seems to me now that all my years of learning the basics of traditional Magick, of exploring and practicing many disciplines, which while they go by various names andsum up a multitude of individual experiences, have come together to contribute to the person that I am. I have shared a common interest in Magick as a part of my life withmany whose paths I have stumbled across from time to time, and in making magic a part of my life I made myself Magick.Often I found myself trying to follow someone else’s views of how to learn aboutMagick. Yet there came a day when I realized there is more to me than my Magical practice it wasn’t something that happened during an initiation or a particular flash of insight, but a recognition of odd things happening in my life which I must find a wayto understand, explain and control, peppered with a basic curiosity which leads me toseek beyond the reaches of the current spiritual concepts, even beyond the reaches of historical study. My Inspiration comes from many sources. We are presented with advancement onlywhen we have been deemed prepared. How we perceive our hidden demons, and howthey relate to us, is a deeply personal, private, individual, intimate, passionate, communication that is unique and unlike anyone else’s.So I embark on a journey that will take me I know not where, through darkness aswell as enlightenment, and this journal will be a record of my experiences whichothers might find interesting or amusing, and possibly insane. So be it.
"Darkness shall give light to you. And night shall shine upon the face becausedarkness will not be dark to you. But the night shall shine as the day, and darknessas it were light." Psalms, chapter 139, verses 11 and 12.
