USING THE MANUAL
There are two main sections in this manual:
\u2013technical specifications,
\u2013overhauling the engine.
To repair the component on the vehicle, refer to the
vehicleWorkshop Repair Manual andTechnical
Notes.
UNITS OF MEASUREMENT
\u2013 All dimensions are given in millimetres(mm) (unless
stated otherwise).

\u2013 Tightening torques are expressed in decaNewton
metres(daNm)
Reminder:1 daNm = 1.02 m.kg.

\u2013 Pressures inbar
Reminder:1 bar = 100 000 Pa.
TOLERANCES
Tightening torques given without a tolerance must be
accurate to within:
\u2013 inDegrees (\u00b13\u02da).
\u2013 indaNm (\u00b110 %).
