She is the Corporate Director of Security and Emergency Preparedness for Adventist Health Care. She began her law enforcement career as a police officer in Michigan and then became a Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. During her 25-year career in the FBI she served in offices in Detroit, Los Angeles, and Newark and in various leadership positions at FBI Headquarters where she assisted in the creation of the Office of Law Enforcement Coordination to improve collaborative working relationships with police agencies throughout the country targeting terrorism, After retiring from the FBI, Ms. Timmons became the National Program Director for the Department of Homeland Security’s Center for Domestic Preparedness. In her current position at Adventist Health Care, Ms. Timmons chairs both the Montgomery County Health Care Collaborative Committee for Emergency Preparedness and the Region V Health and Medical Task Force of Emergency Preparedness. Also elected were Paul Bolton as Vice-President, Maureen West McCarthy as treasurer and Carol S. Petzold as Secretary. Crime Solvers of Montgomery County is a non-profit organization. All Board Members are volunteers. Its mission as citizens is to have an impact on the community to reduce crime by assisting law enforcement agencies solve crimes and prosecute offenders through the development of information based on tips provided by anonymous community members ---MORE--- Page 2 Crime Solvers of Montgomery County, Inc. February 16, 2010 Vice-President Paul Bolton brings to the board of Crime Solvers many years of experience in law enforcement. He served with the United States Park Police for 26 years. Currently he is a Firearms Instructor at the Aleohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Special Operations Training Branch at their headquarters in Washington, DC. ‘Treasurer Maureen McCarthy is a CPA with the firm of ‘Snyder Cohn in Bethesda, Her practice is focused on Healtheare providers. She is a 2004 graduate of Leadership Montgomery and sits on the Advisory Boards of the Montgomery County Medical Society and Eagle Bank. Secretary Carol Petzold served 20 years as a Maryland State Delegate for Legislative District 19 where she was a member of the Judiciary Committee She is active in the Aspen Hill community serving on the Library Advisory Committee, Friends of the Aspen Hill Library Board and the National Capital Trolley Museum Board. Continuing board members include: Joy Young, past president of Crime Solvers; Lawrence Pignone, community volunteer; Ed Stowe, Director of Security at PEPCO and retired from the Army Criminal Investigative Division; Charles Burgess, community activist; Howard Covin, Deputy Director of Johns Hopkins University, Montgomery County Campus; Joshua Halper, financial advisor with Raymond James Financial Services; Roger McArthur, vice-president of NOVA Group, Ltd.; James Pugh, IIL, of Pugh Real Estate Group, LLC; and Donald Sigrist, Manager of Special Investigations at GEICO. Officer Melanie Brenner and Corporal Daniel Friz are liaison with the Montgomery County Police Department. ahi
