We are writing to complain about ads on TV. Thereare so many ads, especially during our favouriteprogrammes. We think they should be stopped for a numberof reasons.First, ads are nuisance. They go on for a long time and thereare so many. Sometimes there seems to be more ads thanprogrammes.Second, ads are bad influence on people. They try toencourage people to buy unhealthy food like beer, soft drink,candy and chips. And they make people want things they donot really need and can not.Finally, the people who make ads have too much say in whatprogrammes people watch. That is because they want to putall their ads on popular programs that a lot of people watch.Some programmes which are not so popular get stoppedbecause they do not attract enough ads, even though thoseprogrammes may be someone’s favourite.For those reasons, we think TV station should stop showingads. They interrupt programmes. They are bad influences onpeople, and they are sometimes put a stop to people’sfavourite shows. We are sick of ads, and now we mostlywatch other channels.

Dan mereka membuat orangingin hal-hal yang mereka tidak benar-benar membutuhkan dan tidak bisa. Akhirnya, orang-orang yang membuat iklan terlalubanyak mengatakan dalam program-program apa yang orang-orang menonton. Itu karena merekaingin menempatkan iklan di semua program populer  yang banyak orang menonton. Beberapa program yang tidak begitu populer bisa berhenti karenamereka tidak cukup menarik iklan, meskipun program-program tersebut dapat menjadi seseorangfavorit.Untuk alasan tersebut, kita berpikir stasiun TV harusberhenti menampilkan iklan. Mereka mengganggu program. Mereka adalah pengaruh buruk padaorang-orang, dan mereka kadang-kadangmenghentikan acara favorit orang. Kita sakit iklan,dan sekarang kita kebanyakan menonton saluranlain.

Reading is important to transform knowledge andtechnology. By reading, one knows the world. He or she willunderstand what he doesn’t see by himself or herself. Thelines of the paragraphs in an article contain pieces of knowledge. The knowledge is needed to improve the qualityof human’s life. Technology transformation from othercountry can only be done by reading a lot various sources of literature. Valuable books in libraries and bookstores meannothing if they are not read.

Realizing the importance of reading will make someonemotivated to read. When we know that something is veryimportant because it can give us valuable information, wewill try to get or do the thing. For example, a businessmanwho always follows latest information or news, will knowwhat to do in his/ her business. He will make a good decisionto make a transaction. Most people in all developedcountries have realized the importance or reading and theyhave good reading habits. In bus and train stations, vehicles,waiting rooms, parks, people like reading. They enjoyreading which gives them valuable knowledge andinspiration.A good understanding toward the importance of reading canbe achieved by well organized and effective campaign. Toplant an understanding in a generation’s minds is not aneasy job. It needs a hard work from all components of thenation, especially the government. A serious campaignwhich is organized by the central and local government canhelp common people wake up and stand to face the realcompetition. The campaign can be done through variouskinds of mass media such as TV, radio, booklets, bulletins,newspapers, magazines. It can also be conducted byteachers, parents and all people who care. Therefore, a nation-wide effective campaign of theimportance of reading by all components of the nationshould be done, facilitated by the government, to face thetighter competition. The world has forced globalization. Those people with little knowledge will be left behind. Tospeed up the better change in this country, a good readinghabit is really important.
