This is part four of a seven-part series titled "The Thief", written by my ten-year-old son, Noah. He wrote the series over the course of several months of school, 4th grade, '07. Noah's teacher permits him to leave the classroom when the noise, lights and commotion become too much for him. When this happens, he, and his para-professional Mrs. Tieva, go to a quiet room where Noah typically dictates stories while Mrs. Tieva transcribes. As always, many thanks to you - Mrs. Tieva. Noah is not permitted to include graphic violence, nor is he allowed to mention guns, instruments of violence, etc. Noah is not at all happpy with censorship and doggedly attempts to sneak in an illicit word, or two. Funny story: One day while Noah was dictating a story, Mrs. Tieva had to briefly leave the room to tend to an unruly child. Noah wasted no time in quickly adding as many forbidden words as possible. Later that evening, Noah confessed and expressed concern that Mrs. Tieva may be held accountable, punished, or even fired for her lack of oversight.
