Cell Discussion-Love to fight and fight for loveRead 1 Chron 14:8-15In this passage, God revealed himself as the God of breakthrough. Abreakthrough is defined by the Webster dictionary as an offensive thrust thatpenetrates and carries beyond a defensive line in warfare or a sudden advanceespecially in knowledge or technology that brings you into a new dimension.From this passage, we learn seven principles of breakthrough:

The enemy will fight against your destiny. The moment King David wasanointed the ruler over the entire nation of Israel, the enemy mobilisedtheir forces against him. We too are called to rule. Rev 5:10 says “youwere slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from everytribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be akingdom and priests to serve our God, and

they will reign on theearth

."2.You need to strengthen yourself firstIn the parallel passage in 2 Sam 5, it says “David was told they werecoming, so he went into a stronghold”3.Love to fightIn verse 8, it says, “But David was told they were coming, so he marchedout to meet them” David was always a fighter, when he was a shepherd,he confronted the lion head on when the lion tried to steal his sheep; heconfronted and ultimately killed Goliath who taunted the armies of Israel.We must rise up to fight against the enemy who tried to steal, to kill anddestroyed our lives, our families, our brothers and sisters in Christ as wellas the lost.4.You can’t fight alone.In verse 11, it says, David and his troops went up t Baal Perazim anddefeated the Philistines there. David’s troop was loyal and committed. Wefight for love. In Nehemiah, when the enemies attacked the Israelites,Nehemiah made the men stand guard with their families.5.You must listen to the voice of God Twice in this passage it says, David inquired of the Lord.6.You must go beyond good intentionDavid says, : “the Lord broke through by my hand” and that David didwhat God commanded (verse 16).
