TorrieWilliamsisandwasthesoleeyewitnessthestatehastoimplicateMr.Andersoninthiscrime.Thestatedismissed.thefirstindictmentinthiscasebecauseMs.Williamshadgivenprosecutors,inparticularMichaelMorales,toomanyinconsistentversions
of
eventsandtheydidnotbelievehertobecredible.'Indeed,thecharge
had
beenacceptedandthe
indictmentsought
againsttheadvice
of
theViolentOffender'sUnitatthechargeconference.4)Thefirstindictment
in
thiscasewasdismissed
on
July10,
2007.

next
day,the
NOPD
conductedapressconference,producingTorrieWilliamsandlambastingthethenDistrictAtt()rney.

thebasisthatapubliccommitmenthad

ClaudeMcCoy.Thetrialcourthasadvised
thatCooney
andMcCoywereinvestigatorswiththeDistrict
Attorney's
office.Theinterviewwasvideotaped
by.
twocamerasandseparateaudiorecordingsweremade.Thedefensehasatthistimeonlybeensupplied
with
oneOVOcontainingacopy
of
therecordingfromonecamera-arecordingthatisinterrupted
on
anumber
of
occasionsand
is
inaudibleinparts.Thestatehasundertakento'copyandprovidetheQtherrecordings
of
theinterviewbuthasnotyetdoneso.Mr.Andersonhasreservedtherighttosupplementthismotionuponreceipt
of
thisadditionalmaterial.10)ThevideotapedinterviewnowdisclosedcontainsnumerousstatementsfromTorrieWilliamsdirectlycontradictorytohertestimonyattrialaswellasawealth
