HERBAL CLEANSEALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ENEMAS
You will need:
- Enema bag or a colema board would work also- Lubricant (salve or moisturizer)- Gallon container- Distilled water or boiled/filtered water (must not contain chlorine)Enemas are taken only on the fasting stage of an
herbal cleanse
, or to relieve uncomfortablecleansing reactions. You must take at least two enemas a day while on an herbal cleanse program
- one in the morning and the other 2-3 hours before bed. Y
ou must assist the body in eliminatingthe toxins that your system is releasing, if something causes you to miss taking an enema;increase the amount of
formula for that day. You must keep things moving.Taking the enemas are essential or your body may, reabsorb the toxins, become constipated, bloated, and not feel well.
Directions:
Use room temperature water. If you are using boiled/filtered water, boil the water ahead of timeso that it can cool. Fill the enema bag with distilled or boiled/filtered water. Be sure the clamp onthe hosing is pressed down securely. You can control the flow of water with the shut off clamp.Hang the full bag on a shower handle, bathroom door handle or something of similar height. Afteryou become accustomed to taking enemas you may want to hang the bag higher. The higher youhang the bag, the faster the flow of water.Place the tip over the toilet or bucket and open the clamp releasing a small flow of water until thebubbles are released from the hosing. Bubbles in the intestinal tract will cause discomfort. Afterremoving the bubbles close the clamp. Put the lubricant on the enema tip and on the anus. Getinto a comfortable position (i.e.: on the knees, or some people like to lay on their back, that waythey are in a good position to massage the colon) and insertthe tip into the rectum. After insertion open the clamp on the hosing gradually, allowing the waterto flow into the colon slowly until you get used to it. Keep your hand close to the clamp for shutoff when needed.Lie down on your back and massage the colon while the water is inside. A tennis ball, ball of wool,or something of similar size can be helpful. Start with the descending colon (left side of the lowerabdomen); work up to the transverse (just under and behind the lower rib cage) massage yourway across from left to right, and then down to the ileocecal (right side of the lower abdomen).Sometimes the water has a hard time flowing up into the colon, it helps to take deep, openingbreaths during these times. This changes the pressure in the colon and makes it easier for thewater to pass through. When you first begin the enema you may only get a small amount of waterin (a cup or so), depending on how compacted your colon is. Don’t force it, it’s ok. Shut off thewater by closing the clamp as soon as the pressure becomes uncomfortable. Try to work thewater past the congested area by massaging the colon, and then add more water. Then withdrawthe tip and eliminate in the toilet. You will probably pass some blockages. You may want to repeatthe process again. The second time you should be able to get some more water in. Keep repeatingthe process until there are no more feces being eliminated. As more and more feces and plaqueare eliminated the process becomes easier and easier, the colon is able to receive more water. After a certain amount of impacted matter is eliminated you should be able to get the whole bagof water in. Make this your goal!
