This is going to be another fantastic event
and much fun for all of us. It’s a beautiful trip, withlots of great scenery and good camaraderie. Go to the ‘kayaker signup’ page for all the details,location, updates, etc. We will also keep you informed thru email as we get closer to the event.We have provided you a letter/email template to use to market your efforts. Please only add your name at the end of the letter.
Friends, family, co-workers, employers, social groups,business contacts and neighbors are all sources for you to raise money
. We have alsoprovided a log sheet and sponsorship pledge forms, (make copies of this form as needed). Don’tbe afraid to ask for sponsorship – it is a great thing that you are supporting.And, just in case you did not see it on the sign up page - you are able to form up to 4 person fundraising teams to compete for the top prize (which I don’t know what it is right now but it will besomething really good). Just name you team and let me know who all is on that team.We are here to answer any questions that you have at any time. Feel free to call or email.
We willfollow up with you each week or so to check on progress. This is not meant to pressureyou, just to be of support.

The beneficiaries of the event are:Reef Rescue
They are the watchdogs of our coral reefs and coastal environment in southeastFlorida, formed by a group of Palm Beach County divers in 2003. By focusing on specific,manageable problems and backed by sound science, they have been successful in compellingthe regulatory community to enforce the “Clean Water Act” and other environmental statutesdesigned to protect our fragile and vulnerable coral reef ecosystems. Grassy Waters Preserve
This non-profit is dedicated to the promotion of environmental andrecreation programs at a 20-square mile wetland nature preserve and fresh water preserve for the City of West Palm Beach. They offer unique educational guided recreational opportunities onthe edge of the vast wetlands resource, historically the headwaters of the Loxahatchee Slough.The preserve includes nature center pavilions, meandering boardwalk trails, hiking, biking,canoeing, and programs. Korey’s Krew –
This is a fantastic organization started by young Korey Soderman himself, whohas cerebral palsy. The group focuses on providing children and adults with special needs theopportunity to attend local fairs, festivals, concerts, and sporting events. They are a very activeorganization and provide a lot of happiness and good times to ‘The Krew’ in South Florida andthose visiting the area. We recommend that you visit their website for more information www.koreyskrew.com.Our contact person is Kris Soderman, Korey’s Krew, Event Coordinator.Much like a walk-a-thon, kayakers will have the opportunity to raise money by asking family,friends, co-workers, etc. to sponsor them for the event.
