We have been trying to equip smallgroup leaders and youth and kid’sleaders through a series of meetingsin the autumn and spring. Themeetings formally known as either ‘small group leaders meetings’ or ‘Kid’s leaders huddles’, will now beknown as
Leadership Huddle
andopen to all of those involved in theleadership of ministry either insideor outside of the church. We wouldlike to formally invite all PCC,Standing Committee, small groupleaders, kids leaders, youth leadersand all those who would consider they meet this criteria, to thefollowing dates:

June.
 The meetings will be to equipleaders for their ministries. Duringthe meeting there will be worship, abiblical context for what is taught,accountability, practical leadershipskills and the chance to have inputfor specific ministries in breakoutsessions from time to time.These meetings are not designed toreplace specific ministry planningmeetings and these should continueas normal.The Fairtrade Foundation is asking people to swap everyday shoppingbasket items such as tea, coffee, chocolate, cotton t-shirts, pineapples,bananas, cakes, sugar and a host of other products for Fairtrade onesduring Fairtrade Fortnight 2010 (22 February - 7 March), which has thetheme of 
The Big Swap.
 ‘We want everyone to get busy swapping for Fairtrade. Swap your usualbananas for Fairtrade bananas, your usual cotton socks for Fairtradecotton socks and your usual cuppa for a Fairtrade cuppa. Each swap willhelp show that people in Britain want producers in the developing worldto get a fairer deal.We’ve got lots of information available both in church and at Lifecentre togive you some great ideas about what you can swap. There are alsobooklets you can give away to friends and family.
Fairtrade Fortnight: Film Screening
As part of Fairtrade Fortnight we will be screening Black Gold, adocumentary film, which tells the story of Tadesse Meskela and hisstruggle to keep his 74,000 Ethiopian Coffee Farmers from westernexploitation. It really will change the way you drink coffee. It’s an idealopportunity to find out a little bit more about the amazing impactFairtrade has on the lives of farmers and their communities.We’ll be showing the film next Sunday evening (7
t
March) inLifecentre at 8pm. So join us after the evening service or just pop in.
