Validity of Saying Ya Rasool-Allah
AN ISLAMIC JUDICIAL QUERYQUESTION:
What is the ruling of the Ulema of Islam on the followingmatter:Zaid, who is a Muslim and believes in Almighty Allah andthe Prophethood of his beloved Prophet (sallal laahu alaihiwasallam), recites after every Salaah and at other times, thefollowing verses: As Salaatu Was Salaamu Alaika YaRasoolullah - "Peace and Blessings upon you, O Messengerof Allah." Or As Alukash Shafaa'atu Ya Rasoolullah - "Iseek from you Shafaa'at (Intercession), O Messenger of Allah."I ask the learned Scholars of Islam:(1) Are such calls to the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihiwasallam) permitted in Islam?(2) What is the ruling of the Learned Scholars concerningindividuals who refer to those who call to the Prophets andSaints as Kaafirs and Mushriks?Please enlighten us on this.
