Te operational questions
How long will the billing product take to implement?
Te rate o change in business is rapidly increasing. Customers demand new products, new product mixes and new ways o purchasing those productson an almost daily basis. At the same time, in many industries the barriersto entry or new companies are alling which also increases the demands onsubscription and billing services to keep up with changing dynamics.Given this situation, we can see that whatever billing and subscription systema company uses, it needs to be able to be implemented rapidly and readily within the organisation.Part o this implementation is the ease o integration between anorganization’s existing systems (website, back oce systems, customerrelationship management system etc) and the billing system. A billing systemthat includes application programming interaces (APIs) and client librariesto enable interaction with other sotware will allow much morerapid implementation.Another reason to consider outsourcing subscription and billingunctionality to an external party is one o cost. By outsourcing a billingsystem the business is able to to “pay as they go” and they thereore amortizethe cost o this part o their business over time.
