The Virtues of Surah Az-Zumar
An-Nasa'i recorded that A'ishah, may Allah be pleased with her,said,"The Messenger of Allah used to fast until we would say,`He does not want to break fast,' and he would not fastuntil we would say, `He does not want to fast.' And heused to recite
Al-Isra'
and
Az-Zumar
every night.''
ِا َِـْا ِّا ِِْ
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the MostMerciful.
َِِْا ِیَِْا ِا َِﻡ ِـَِْا ُیَِ
39:1 The revelation of this Book is from Allah, theAlmighty, the All-Wise.

َِْإ ََْﻥَأ ﻥِإُ ًُِْﻡ َا َُِْ َِْ َـَِْا َ
ِیا
39:2 Verily, We have sent down the Book to you intruth. So, worship Allah by doing religious deedssincerely for Him only.
ِﻡ ْاوَُا َیِاَو َُِْا ُیا ِِ ََأَﻡ َءَِْوَأ ِِﻥوُد
َُْز ِا َِإ َﻥَُُِ ِإ ُْهَُُْﻥ
39:3 Surely, the religion is for Allah only. And thosewho take protectors besides Him (say): "Weworship them only that they may bring us near toAllah.''
َی َا نِإَنََُِْی ِِ ُْه َﻡ ِ ََُْْ ُُْ
Verily, Allah will judge between them concerningthat wherein they differ.
ٌرـَآ ٌبِـَآ َُه َْﻡ ىَِْی َ َا نِإ
Truly, Allah guides not him who is a liar, and adisbeliever.
َرَأ ْ ُءََی َﻡ َُُْی ِﻡ ََْﺹ ًاََو ََِی نَأ ُا َدا
39:4 Had Allah willed to take a son, He could havechosen whom He willed out of those whom Hecreated.
ُرَْا َُِْا ُا َُه َُـَُْﺱ
But glory be to Him! He is Allah, the One, theIrresistible.

The Order for Tawhid and the Refutation of Shirk
Allah tells us that the revelation of this Book, which is themagnificent Qur'an, is from Him, and is truth in which there isno doubt whatsoever.This is like the
Ayat
:
ََِـَْا بَر ُیََِ ُﻥِإَو
ُِﻡا ُحوا ِِ َلََﻥ
َیِرُِْْا َِﻡ َنَُِ ََِْ ََ
ٍِﻡ ََِ ٍنَِِ
And truly, this is a revelation from the Lord of thecreatures, which the trustworthy
Ruh
(Jibril) hasbrought down upon your heart that you may be (one) of the warners, in the plain Arabic language. (26:192-195)
ٌیَِ ٌـََِ ُﻥِإَو ُْهَءَ َ ِْآِ ْاوََُآ َیِا نِإ
َِْﺥ ِْﻡ ََو ِْیََی َِْ ِﻡ ُِـَْا َِِْی ٍَِ ٍَِ ْﻡ ٌیَِ ِ
And verily, it is a mighty Book. Falsehood cannot cometo it from before it or behind it, (it is) sent down by theAll-Wise, Worthy of all praise. (40: 41-42)And Allah says here:
َِْا ِا َِﻡ ِبَِْا ُیَِ ِی
َِِْا

The revelation of this Book is from Allah, the Almighty,meaning, the Almighty, All-Powerful.
َِِْا
(the All-Wise).
meaning, in all that He says, does, legislates anddecrees.
َ َِْ َبَِْا ََِْإ ََْﻥَأ ﻥِإَیا ُ ًُِْﻡ َا ُِْ
