Gestational HTNMild PreeclampsiaSevere PreeclampsiaDefinitionBegins after the 20thweek of pregnancy,describes hypertensivedisorders of pregnancywhereby the womanhas an elevated blood pressure at140/90mmHg or greater, or a systolicincrease of 30mmHg or a diastolic increase of 15mmHg from the pregnancy baseline.There is no proteinuriaor edema. The clientsBP returns to baseline by 6 weeks postpartumIs GH with the addition of  proteinuria of 1 to 2 + anda weight gain of more than2 kg or 4.4lb per week, inthe second and thirdtrimester. Mild edema willalso begin to appear at theupper extremities or face.Consist of BP 160/100 mmHg or greater, proteinuria 3 to 4+, oliguria,elevated serum creatinine greater than 1.2mg per dL, celebral or visualdisturbances (headache and blurredvision), hyperreflexsia with possibleankle clonus, pulmonary or cardiacinvolvement, extensive peripheraledema, hepatic disfunction,epigastric and right upper quadrant pain and thrombocytopenia
