During the Spring 2004 Florida Reading First school site visits, sta rom the Florida Center orReading Research (FCRR) determined that teachers may benet rom classroom materials that would be immediately useul in implementing independent student center activities.In 2004-2005, a team o teachers at FCRR collected ideas and created materials or use inkindergarten and rst grade classrooms.Tere are three books:1. Phonological Awareness and Phonics Student Center Activities2. Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension Student Center Activities3. eacher Resource GuideTe rst two books are activity plans and activity masters ready or immediate use in classrooms.Te third book is an inormative guide oering important insight on dierentiated instructionand how to use the student center materials. When considering Florida’s ormula, 5 + 3 + ii + iii = No Child Let Behind, please note thateach instructional component is covered in the student center activities books.
