2010 Tennessee Baptist Easter Cross Witness
Larry Gilmore, TBC Director of Evangelism, has presented a very powerfulidea that will allow our churches to accent their witness in their communitiesfrom Palm Sunday to Easter and on into 2010.The idea is to place a silent witness which is a whitecross (22 1/2 inches tall and 17 1/2 inches wide) in theyards of our members on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2010.The community will begin to wonder what a plain whitecross is doing in so many people’s yards. But on EasterSunday, April 4, 2010, they will find out when eachmember turns the cross around so people can read “He IsRisen!”Big Emory is cooperating in this effort and a cross hasbeen ordered for each church. If your church would like to participate pleasee-mail Patbeba@comcast.net,contact Bro. Mike Winters at 865.382.1054 orcall the BEBA office at 865.882.6446 to get more information and to makearrangements to pick up your cross. Instructions for observing this event, as well as how to order more crosses are included with your cross.
