I am pro-choice. I am not one person, but many. Here is what I believe:

•
Aborting unwanted children reduces the number of abused children.
•
We need to remember that we are overpopulating the planet.
•
Planned Parenthood is a group that focuses on contraception.
Pro-Life
Pro-life people are diverse in economic status, race, religion, and education. Yet, they are unified bythe concept that all humans, especially the innocent unborn, have an inherent right to life.Here are things I believe as a Pro-Life person:

I believe that the unborn child is human.

I believe that abortion is not safe.

I believe that abortion is a war on the unborn.

I believe that the Roe v. Wade decision, legalizing abortion on demand in America, was oneof the most important and devastating Supreme Court decisions.

I believe that a constitutional amendment should be passed that gives equal protection to allliving humans, including the unborn.
•
I believe that the violence inside and outside abortion clinics is morally wrong.
•
I believe that rape and incest are horrible crimes and should be punished, but I don't believethat a child conceived from either should be killed.
•
I do not believe that the government should fund abortions.
•
I do not believe that the government should fund Planned Parenthood - the largest nationalsupplier of abortions.
•
Being a religious person, I believe that the Bible/Holy Qor’an backs up my views onabortion.

Unquestionably, many would return the violence of killing an innocent babyfor the violence of rape. But, before making this decision, remember that most of thetrauma has already occurred. She has been raped. That trauma will live with her all her life.Furthermore, this girl did not report for help, but kept this to herself. For several weeks or months, she has thought of little else. Now, she has finally asked for help, has shared her upset, and should be in a supportive situation.

But what about the child with disease who will die a slow death or live his life as aburden to his family?
Do you believe the new "ethic" should be that we kill the suffering or burdensome? Someof these cases are tragic, some are also inspirational. We cannot assume the responsibilityfor killing an unborn child simply because the child has not yet been seen in public. Thechild's place of residence does not change what abortion does - kill a human being.

What about the population boom? We can hardly feed the people of the world now!
True, the population of the world is growing, but population is not much of a problem in theUnited States. With a birth every 8 seconds and a death every 11 seconds, the U.S. population is growing at less than one percent per year.Population growth or decline compares replacement of the current number of reproductiveage individuals with the number of babies being born. By this measure, the United States isnow in a sharp population decline.

How can a girl give up her own baby for adoption and go through life never knowingwhat is happening to her child?
Which is better to remember, "I gave my baby life. And because I loved him, I gavehim into the arms of a loving couple" - or to remember, "I selfishly ended my baby'slife?"

Pasal 299 KUHP
:
o
(1) Barangsiapa dengan sengaja mengobati seorang wanita atau menyuruhnyasupaya diobati, dengan diberitahukan atau ditimbulkan harapan, bahwa karena pengobatan itu hamilnya dapat digugurkan, diancam dengan pidana penjara palinglama empat tahun atau denda paling banyak tiga ribu rupiah;
o
(2) Jika yang bersalah, berbuat demikian untuk mencari keuntungan, ataumenjadikan perbuatan tersebut sebagai pencarian atau kebiasaan, atau jika diaseorang tabib, bidan atau juru obat, pidananya dapat ditambah sepertiga;
o
(3) Jika yang bersalah, melakukan kejahatan tersebut, dalam menjalankan pencarian, maka dapat dicabut haknya untuk melakukan pencarian itu.
•
Pasal 346 KUHP
: “Seorang wanita yang dengan sengaja menggugurkan atau mematikankandungannya atau menyuruh orang lain untuk itu diancam dengan pidana penjara palinglama empat tahun penjara”.
•
Pasal 347 KUHP
:
o
(1) Barangsiapa dengan sengaja menggugurkan atau mematikan kandungan seorangwanita tanpa persetujuannya, diancam dengan pidana penjara paling lama dua belas bulan;
o
(2) Jika perbuatan itu mengakibatkan matinya wanita tersebut, dikenakan pidana penjara paling lama lima belas tahun.

Pasal 348 KUHP
:
o
(1) Barangsiapa dengan sengaja menggugurkan atau mematikan kandungan seorangwanita dengan persetujuannya, diancam dengan pidana penjara paling lama limatahun enam bulan;
o
(2) Jika perbuatan itu mengakibatkan matinya wanita tersebut, dikenakan pidana penjara paling lama tujuh tahun.

Pasal 349 KUHP
: Jika seorang tabib, bidan atau juru obat membantumelakukan kejahatan yang tersebut Pasal 346, ataupun melakukan atau membantumelakukan salah satu kejahatan yang diterangkan dalam pasal 347 dan 348, maka pidanayang ditentukan dalam pasal itu dapat ditambah dengan sepertiga dan dapat dicabut hak untuk menjalankan pencaharian dalam mana kejahatan itu dilakukan.

Dalam KUHP ”aborsi” → “pengguguran dan pembunuhankandungan” yang merupakan perbuatan aborsi yang bersifat kriminal (

Istilah kandungan dalam konteks tindak pidana ini menunjuk pada pengertian kandungan yang sudah berbentuk manusia maupun kandungan yang belum berbentuk manusia. Karena adanya dua kemungkinan bentuk kandungantersebut maka tindak pidana yang terjadi dapat berupa :
