RIDER ASPECIFICATIONS OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED
Goal 1. Organize the team to Research Open Educational Resources (OER) in Mathematics.
STRATEGYACTION PLANTIMERecruit and identify projectlead.
Develop job description.
Select a project coordinator February, 2010 or onreceipt of approvedcontractRecruit OER Math Teacher Researchers from each of the 9 SuperintendentRegions
Develop Teacher Researcher OER Invitations.
Disseminate information through our partnersand Maine Support Network (MSN) electronicdatabase to request teacher research OER  proposals.
Recruit teachers as needed to participate inOER Research.
Interview and select Teacher Researchers.March 2010Identify other stakeholders(e.g., students, familymembers, other math andtechnology, and familyorganizations) to participateon the advisory team.
Create an invitation to support and encourage participation on the math Advisory Team(AT);
Identify expectations for member participationon advisory team;
Develop AT application form and develop theselection process;
Disseminate information to public andnonpublic schools through our multiple partnerships and electronic database for ATmembership;
Identify an Institute of Higher Education (IHE)representative in the area of math to serve onthe advisory team;
Identify other stakeholder representation;
Select teachers from the 9 regions to serve onthe OER math AT.March, 2010Team Meeting Structure
Develop and deliver introduction meeting – AT will review the grant objectives anddevelop timelines and processes to support thework.

Using the above process and criteria teacher research proposals reviewed.
AT will provide suggestions for improvementor acceptance.April, 2010Project Director will provide support andinformation in thedevelopment of delivery of research OER proposaloutcomes.
Project director will provide day-to-daysupport to teacher researchers for successfulcompletion of proposals.April – September, 2010OER research, onlineseminars, etc will bedisseminated using our extensive electronicdatabase.
Announcements for OER Resources created by teacher researchers will be developed;
Announcements will be disseminated;
Assessments and tracking of OER resourceaccess will be designed.March – June 2010Share OER online.

Through our regional partners identify mosteffective means to supportongoing teacher understanding and use of OERs.
Survey Monkey, focus groups, and interviewswill be used to inform the AC and ProjectDirectors as to the most effective venues for support.March – October, 2010Develop a timeline for implementation of OER development and use.
Review the results of survey monkey, focusgroups and interviews to develop timeline andstrategies of deployment.March – October, 2010Promote the utilization of OER materials.
