I don't like OIL, for starters, because the power they (a few) have over our 'gov' and our life. With that said, however, scams are scams. Solar is good for heating your water or running a single laptop, but NOT for providing energy for today's lifestyles, even the most basic, not some lavish, globe-trotting goresqe lifestyle.

I am ALL FOR alt energy, just not the con job... certainly one must understand that creating solar panels is highly toxic to the earth and provides very little benefit (weighed out, it actually provides NO benefit)
