Make your own knitting needles:

Learn how to make wool felt:

http://www.allfiberarts.com/library/howto/ht00/how_felt.htm

http://gfwsheep.com/flatfelt/flatfelt1.html

…people use a variety of items for friction. I find that if you use a matchstick placemat,
and roll it up tightly, then kind of roll it around with plenty of pressure – this works great!

While you have the wool fibre out, make a ball!

http://members.peak.org/~spark/feltballs.html

…a link with links. There are many variations – try all wool; tennis ball core; “jingle ball”
with whiffle ball core that you’ve cut to add in a jingle bell; also, non-round items – make
a play mouse for your favorite kitty!

And since the wool fibre is STILL out – learn to needlefelt!

http://www.allfiberarts.com/library/aa05/aa090205.htm

Bottlecap pincushions are fun, and make a nice gift, tiny so they’re perfect if you’re
exchanging magic yarn balls, etc:

What’s not to love, with a fairy bendy doll?:

Something useful – a rag rug!

All the rage: Scrabble tile necklaces:

http://www.makeandtakes.com/links/scrabble-tile-pendant-tutorial
Felt barettes … so cute!

http://angrychicken.typepad.com/angry_chicken/2007/06/this_house_is_w.html

Well – that’s ten crafts (over ten links) … lemme see if I can come up with a couple
more…
If you are a wool fanatic like me, you’ll sooner or later want to dye/ handpaint your own:
