Additional thoughts about our meetings for new and prospective members:
Our normal meeting night is the 3rd Thursday of the months January through November. We have a Christmas party on a Friday or Saturday night in December in place of that month’s meeting. Our meetings start at 7:30 pm and usually run about one hour.In January, April, July and October, we gather at 7:00 pm for our quarterly dinner before the 7:30 Meeting.============================================================================
Our sympathy
goes out to several of our members that are in poor health. Bobby Harrod was diagnosedwith cancer of the esophagus. Marvin Maser had eye surgery to repair a retina and is now reported to bedoing well. Duncan LeCompte continues to have some good days and some that are not so good.============================================================================This month’s feature is on John Moody pictured plowing with his Alice Chalmers. We got to know John lastsummer when we worked together helping toget things set up for Robert Yount’s show. Johnhas lots of interesting stories and he really en- joys plowing, harvesting, and most all of theother things you can do on the farm with a trac-tor. John’s family is behind him one hundred percent. There is John’s wife Betty, son Wyatt (W.K.),Wyatt’s wife Kim, and two grandchildren,Patrick and Krystin. The whole family has joined our Club to help John share in the fun.

Our club has a lot to accomplish in the next three months to get ready for our FOURTH ANNUALANTIQUE POWER EQUIPMENT SHOW that is scheduled for the first Saturday in June. Dave Fiehtner, oneof our new Board members and the Chairman of the June Show Event, has already put a lot of work intoplaning. Dave will have a list of
opportunities
for those members interested in pitching in and helpingwhere they can. Steve and I have worked with Dave in the past years and we have had a lot of fun and alsodeveloped a lot of new friends in the process. For us it is an opportunity. I am sure that there will be some-thing for all interested parties to do, so DO NOT miss this meeting. Your thoughts and comments are of great value in getting this show off the ground.

Upcoming events:
Our Tractor Pull Team,
headed up by Jimmy Hance, has planned a full schedule of events for this 2010pulling season starting with the first pull at the Shelby County Fair Grounds on April 3rd. This event will beheld regardless of the weather because they now can hold pulls inside or outside. Our pulling team has joined together with the Central Kentucky Pullers to put on 13 events for the year. All pulls will be listed onour Club web sight at www.saltriverantiquepower.com. By the way, there is a lot of very useful informationon this sight, so check it out. It will keep you in the know. Also, say thanks to Misty Jewel when you see herfor all the work that she does to keep this site up and running.
Mount Washington
is having their spring fair on May 8th with a parade and street festival. We will havedetails on the time and exact location for setup in the near future. Last year our Club had our wagon andabout 15 tractors. The display parking was fine and we got a lot of exposure for the Club.

“Relay for Life”
event on May 22nd at the Henry County fairgrounds.
Robert Yount
is planning his annual
“Antique Farm Equipment Show”
August 26th through the 29th.This is a show you will not want to miss. There will be working saw mills, Steam tractors running all kinds of farm equipment, work animals demonstrating how things were done before the tractor was commonplaceand of course, there will be a tractor pull on that Saturday night. Robbie has fine food, live entertainment, and a collection of tractors and friends that make this an event for the whole family.
Roger Brown
is planning his annual Tractor drive and games for Saturday the 4th of September. The eventwill start at 10:00 at Roger Brown’ farm. Lunch will be served before the tractor drive which is planned tostart at 1:30pm. The drive will cover about 15 miles through some very scenic back roads and end up back at Roger’s place about 3:00pm. This will be Roger’s third annual drive, and it should be lots of fun. This isplanned as a club event, so bring the family and join in.
 Waddy, Kentucky

Families like the Moodys are what give our Club real meaning in preserving a piece of history and demon-strating family values.

Ladies, this section is for you!

A group of ladies met to discuss the possibility of forming a LadiesAuxiliary within the Tractor Club. The Auxiliary could support, help and assist the club in their activities aswell as establish a social network that would provide an opportunity for us to get to know one another bet-ter. Many ladies already do a lot for the Club on an individual and family basis and this might give themadded support and encouragement as well. The actual structure of this organization is open to suggestion, but for now, they are attempting to get a feelfor your interest and your ideas. There are 54 female members in our Club.
