Additional thoughts about our meetings for new and prospective members:
Our normal meeting night is the 3rd Thursday of the months January through November.We have a Christmas party on a Friday or Saturday night in December in place of that month’s meeting.Our meetings start at 7:30 pm and usually run about one hour.In January, April, July and October, we gather at 7:00 pm for our quarterly dinner before the 7:30 Meeting.============================================================================
Spring is close at hand
and there are a lot of events and activities coming up. Our club has a lot to accomplish in the next three months to get ready for our FOURTH ANNUALANTIQUE POWER EQUIPMENT SHOW that is scheduled for the first Friday and Saturday in June. DaveFiehtner, one of our new Board members and the Chairman of the June Show Event, has already put a lot of work into planing. Dave will have a list of 
opportunities
for those members interested in pitching in andhelping where they can. Steve and I have worked with Dave in the past years and we have had a lot of funand also developed a lot of new friends in the process. For us it is an opportunity. I am sure that there willbe something for all interested parties to do, so DO NOT miss this meeting. Your thoughts and commentsare of great value in getting this show off the ground.

Upcoming events:
Our Tractor Pull Team,
headed up by Jimmy Hance, has planned a full schedule of events for this 2010pulling season. Our pulling team has joined together with the Central Kentucky Pullers to put on 13 eventsfor the year. All pulls will be listed on our Club web sight at www.saltriverantiquepower.com. By the way,there is a lot of very useful information on this sight, so check it out. It will keep you in the know. Also, saythanks to Misty Jewel when you see her for all the work that she does to keep this site up and running.The first 5 tractor pulls for the 2010 season will be held at the Shelby County Fair Grounds on:March 18th, April 3, May 1, June 5, and June 21. So come out to pull, help out or just watch.If you have any questions on the pulls, please call Jimmy Hance and he will have all of the details.
 We are planning a Plow Day
at Yount’s Farm on Saturday, April 10th, as weather permits. We are alsoplanning a plow day at the Travis farm again as weather permits. The target dates are Saturdays in late Marchthrough April. We will just have to keep you posted and Scott LeCompte will post the information to youre-mail if you are on his list, or you may call Scott at 502-321-0060.
The Tractor Supply
in LaGrange is hosting a tractor show and display on Saturday, April 10th from9:00am to 3:pm. You may contact Gene Crady at for more Details. 502-592-0341.
The Dairy Queen
in LaGrange is hosting a tractor show on Saturday, April 24th from 11:00am to 4:00pm,but you are welcome to come and go as you want to. They block off the whole lot for us and there will besome good food for the participants. So come and enjoy the fun. You may contact Gene Crady for the de-tails. 502-592-0341.
Mount Washington
is having their spring fair on May 8th with a parade and street festival. We will havedetails on the time and exact location for setup in the near future. Last year our Club had our wagon andabout 15 tractors. The display parking was fine and we got a lot of exposure for the Club.
Henry County
is having their annual
“Relay for Life”
event on May 22nd at the Henry County fairgrounds. William Potts is our contact for the details and his number is 502-220-0431.

Parade will be held at 10:00 on July 4th, 2010. Contact David Harden with anyquestions at 502-836-5621.
The Salt River Antique Power Association’s Tractor Show
will be held on June 4th and 5th at theShelby County Fair Grounds. Dave Fiehtner is the Chairman of the show and his number is 502-647-6065.
The Oldham County days
and parade will be held on July 17th. There is a new requirement for this yearthat each participant must fill our a registration form to be in the parade. You can get the form by callingDoreen Goodwin at 502-222-9898 or 502-262-3420. For those that do not want to participate in theparade, but would like to show their tractor, you may go directly to the History Center grounds.
Robert Yount
is planning his annual
“Antique Farm Equipment Show”
August 26th through the 29th.This is a show you will not want to miss. There will be working saw mills, Steam tractors running all kinds of farm equipment, work animals demonstrating how things were done before the tractor was commonplaceand of course, there will be a tractor pull on that Saturday night. Robbie has fine food, live entertainment,and a collection of tractors and friends that make this an event for the whole family.
Roger Brown
is planning his annual Tractor drive and games for Saturday the 4th of September. The eventwill start at 10:00 at Roger Brown’ farm. Lunch will be served before the tractor drive which is planned tostart at 1:30pm. The drive will cover about 15 miles through some very scenic back roads and end up back at Roger’s place about 3:00pm. This will be Roger’s third annual drive, and it should be lots of fun. This isplanned as a club event, so bring the family and join in.
 Waddy, Kentucky
is planning a Labor Day parade. Details are sketchy at this point, but we will have moreas the time gets closer. Pat Hargadon will be our contact.============================================================================
