Our task this evening is to ensure that the passing of over 200,000 souls who
over the past few weeks found themselves catapulted into darkness, many without
knowledge or understanding of what had happened or why, is achieved with love and
care. We particularly reach out to the children, and those of our brothers and sisters
who lived the magical life in Haiti, and Chile, so we will use a God and Goddess with
which they are familiar while at the same time understanding that the attributes of
those deities are also contained within our own Celtic Parthenon, so they will not
come to us as strangers.
We will use the energies within ourselves - our bodies, to achieve the magic we
intend. To this end we use our powers of visualization to focus our intent to create a
container that is a spherical force field, usually known as the traditional Circle. Once
created, and cleansed/consecrated with the Four Elements, and then conjured we will
read the Tibetan Rite for the Dead.
It is my experience when conducting this ritual that many souls who wander lost and
alone are frequently also drawn to us for help.

ERZULIE DANTOR
Erzulie’s personal story is a tragedy. She was a warrioress who fought with her people during
the Haitian revolution. However, her own people cut out her tongue so that she would not tell
their secrets should she be captured. Thus, she is mute and can only speak a stammering
monosyllable, "ke-ke-ke-ke-ke!" This is the sound of her tongue clicking on the roof of her
mouth. She is often pictured with her daughter Anais, who serves as her translator and
interpreter.
