Why I Love My GPS Device
I love myGPSbecause it is so useful to me through out the day. Itguides me to where I want to go through heavy traffic and sleet andsnow. The free traffic alerts (with lifetime updates) help me avoid thegrid lock on the freeways and major highways in my city. When I get toroad junctions the lane assist pre-alerts me (with big red arrows) whichlane to approach from to get through without any hold-up from othertraffic. It also helps me plan my out of town journeys by calculating thetime, distance and the amount of fuel I need for my journey. This iscalled EcoRoute and it works out the most fuel efficient route for me totake. In today’s economic climate (GFC and so forth) you need to useanything available to you to help you save your precious dollars. Italso alerts me on the speed limits on most major roads. This feature isgreat, when I’m out on an interstate journey and I don’t know the localspeed limits or zones. My GPS not only looks good but is so slim and stylish it fits right intomy pocket like a cell phone. Its large 4.3 inch screen makeseverything so easy to see and the touch screen icons are large and soeasy to use. I can move around the screen with ease with itsscreenscroll function to use it’s built-in world travel clock with timezones, the currency converter, or measurement converter, calculatorand so much more. It has the microSD Card slot for uploading anddownloading data, pictures and maps. There is also a JPEG pictureviewer to see your downloaded pictures. When I mount it into my car and set the destination, the voiceactivated directions are loud and clear. The clear spoken voice tellsme by street name the direction to take for every turn. The pre-loaded2-D and 3-D maps of North America (for other locations you need todownload maps for your country, state or region) have over 6 millionPoints of Interest (POI) including gas stations, restaurants, churches, banks etc… You can even upload your very own custom POI’s in addition to the 6million which may not be enough! In addition to that, you can alsodownload custom voices and vehicles. As with every good GPS today it hasBluetooth hands freecalling viayour cell phone through it’s built-in microphone and speaker. Justtouch the screen to take a call and again to end it. It makes calling soeasy when your driving, you just have to remember that you need toconcentrate on the driving not the call. So take it slow and easy whencalling via Bluetooth. When I’m out in the city I always take my GPS with me. As you know iteasily fits into my pocket for when I’m walking or travelling on the bus, tram or train, I use the CityXplorer feature. With this public transitmode I can navigate subways and never lose a signal because my GPS
