I. Example of Procedure Text (Text 1)

Aim / Goal How to Make Fried Rice

For cooking rice

Material / Ingredients uncooked rice 1 cups
Water 2 3 cups

For frying rice

Onion 2, thinly sliced
Garlic gloves 5, thinly sliced
Red chili 2 to 3, slit lengthwise
Celery 1 to 2, sliced
Soy sauce 2 teaspoons
Salt approximately 1 to 2 teaspoons
Olive oil 2 tablespoons

For garnishing
Cucumber 1, thinly sliced
Tomatoes 2 medium, thinly sliced
Fried egg
Kerupuk (Cracker or chips)
Lettuces

Steps: 1. Cook uncooked rice and water in rice cooker, fluff

the rice with fork to separate the kernels. Keep it
warm.
2. Heat olive oil in frying pan. Add onion, garlic and
red chili. Fry until onion and garlic become brown
3. Turn the heat into low flame and add the rice
4. Add salt, soy sauce and celery. Stir the rice gently
until all ingredients are mixed
5. Keep on low flame for 3 5 minutes
6. Turn off the heat and place the fried rice in plain
plate
7. Garnish with cucumbers, tomatoes, fried eggs.

8. Fried rice ready to serve

II. Another Example of Procedure Text (Text 2)

Aim / Goal How to Make a Simple Wedding Veil

 Material / Equipments
 Tulle
 Scissors
 4-inch comb
 Needle and thread
 Sequins
 Crystals
 Seed pearls
 Fabric glue
 Small silk roses or thin wire and beads

Steps:  Step 1:
Decide on your veil length. This decision will
make it easier to purchase your tulle. Shoulder-
length: 24 inches. Waist-length: 32 inches.
Fingertip-length: 40 inches. Floor-length: depends
on your height. Cathedral-length: 108 inches or 3
yards
 Step 2
Shape your veil with the scissors. There are many
shapes that you can create, such as tear-drop,
rounded-edge and double-layer. Keep your width
wide enough that your tulle falls and gathers
gracefully.
 Step 3
Gather the top edge of your veil together until it is
about the width of your thumb. Stitch along the
edge until the gathers hold securely.
 Step 4
Attach the tulle to a comb. Sew the tulle to the
comb by stitching through the material and then
around the teeth of the comb. Make sure your
tulle is secure and the comb will still hold in your
hair
 Step 5
Cover where the veil is attached by gluing tiny
roses to the comb or beading thin wires and
braiding them together. Attach the ends to the
sides of the comb. This will create a swirling
design.
 Step 6
Use fabric glue to attach sequins and crystals. Use
fabric glue or a needle and thread to attach seed
pearls.
