V Work Phase
With partner get as if punched defender. Have defender work you tooutside and up and inside. Use power steps, kick sides and goodpass squat position.
VI Punch Drill
Use partner. Get into pass squat, hands up. Have defender come atyou with bag. When bag approaches zone, sit punch and extend.Take 3 reps RT and LT stagger.
VII Punch and Fall Drill
Have defender keep feet together and with no step fall at offensivepartner stiff bodied. Should be facing partner. Offensive player in 3pt stance. When defender starts to fall get upright and punch extendcontrol.
VIII Double Punch
Set to inside and outside punch bag.
Pre fit to outside shoulder. Must kick and punch simultaneously inorder to stay square.
X Head Catch
Get into 3 pt stance. Have defender stand on front corner. Whenyou get upright defender should square his buddy to you and try tograb the back of your head. This will force you to get upright punchand sit as to not get bent over at waist.
XI Mirror Dodge
Get two cones 5 yards apart. Get into up pass pro position. Keepyour hands up. Have defender try to beat you by crossing the linebetween the two cones. You will keep good pass squat working onyou power step and lateral kick slide. Use your punch to keepdefender from crossing line. Once punched, defender should resetand start again. This is a drill that can be done with sandbags aswell.
