El Cabildo de Gran Canaria a través de su Consejería de Cultura El coste del mensaje será el mismo que tiene establecido cada
ne establecido cada usuario The Cabildo of Gran Canaria throughout his Regional Cultural
y Patrimonio Histórico y Cultural y en colaboración con El Corte
Inglés, convoca el III Concurso Literario SMS de Gran Canaria,
sobre relatos cortos.
El Concurso se desarrollará de acuerdo a las siguientes
BASES:
Primera: Requisitos de los relatos cortos
Los relatos, escritos en lengua castellana (admitiéndose el nuevo lenguaje
sms), podrán tener una extensión máxima de 130 caracteres incluidos
los espacios y deberán estar totalmente inéditos y no galardonados en
ningún concurso en el momento de la entrega del Premio.
Segunda: Tema
La Isla.
Tercera: Ámbito del concurso
Nacional: a través del móvil; los relatos deben ser escritos y enviados
desde móviles nacionales.
Internacional: El Concurso se internacionaliza, y en esta edición, también
se podrá participar a través de “Twitter’.
Cuarta: Fechas del concurso
El plazo para participar será desde el próximo 23 de Abril a las 00:00
horas hasta el 24 de Mayo de 2010 a las 00:00 horas.
El Jurado emitirá el fallo durante los 30 días posteriores a la finalización
del concurso.
El fallo del Jurado se dará a conocer en un acto público dentro de los 60
días siguientes a la finalización del concurso. En el mismo acto se hará
entrega de los premios tanto del jurado como de público.
El público puede votar a los mejores relatos desde el 24 de mayo a las
00:00 hasta el 15 de junio a las 00:00. Terminado este plazo no se hará
efectiva ninguna votación.
Los relatos finalistas se harán públicos en los 25 días posteriores a la
finalización del concurso.
Quinta: Premios
Los ganadores se publicarán en las webs: www.grancanariacultura.com
y en la página www.relatoscortosxsms.com, a partir del día de la entrega
de premios.
Habrá dos primeros premios:
• El del público
• El del jurado
Asimismo habrá 4 finalistas
• 2 elegidos por el público
• 2 elegidos por el jurado
Premio del público
Los premios del Público se decidirán por las votaciones directas del
público que se realicen a través de la web: www.relatoscortosxsms.com
Cada usuario registrado en la web sólo podrá votar una vez a cada relato
pero podrá votar a cuantos relatos diferentes estime.
• Primer Premio del Público: 400 €
• Finalistas del Público: 200 € para cada uno de los finalistas
Estos premios serán entregados con tarjeta regalo de El Corte Inglés,
colaborador del concurso.
Premio del Jurado
El Jurado escogerá un único ganador y dos finalistas del Concurso, que
recibirán los siguientes premios:
• Primer Premio del Jurado: 400 €
• Finalistas del Jurado: 200 € para cada uno de los finalistas
Estos premios serán entregados con tarjeta regalo de El Corte Inglés,
colaborador del concurso.
Sexta: Participantes
Podrán participar, de manera individual, todas las personas mayores de
15 años que lo deseen, con textos de elaboración propia en castellano,
(admitiéndose el lenguaje sms) de una extensión máxima de 130 caracteres
incluidos los espacios.
Si el premiado fuera menor de edad o incapaz, su derecho a disfrutar el
premio estará siempre supeditado a la previa autorización por escrito de
sus padres o tutores legales, debiendo acompañar una fotocopia del
D.N.I. del autorizante.
La participación en el Concurso supone la aceptación de las presentes
bases y conllevará la autorización al Cabildo de Gran Canaria para editar
y publicar previa selección, los relatos recibidos, si así lo estimara oportuno.
Séptima: Forma de envío de los relatos
Por SMS: RELATO ESPACIO + 130 caracteres
Para participar en el Concurso, los interesados deberán enviar la referencia
RELATO seguido de espacio y su texto que tendrá un máximo de 130
caracteres, vía sms (mensaje de texto), al teléfono: 663 275 182.
Como comprobante de participación, los concursantes recibirán un mensaje
con un código de referencia, que deberán conservar hasta la entrega de
premios. Éste código es el que identifica, en la página web, al relato. En
el caso de ser ganador, se le solicitará dicho código de referencia, en el
acto de entrega de premios.
El concursante deberá registrarse en la web, con el código de confirmación
recibido y el nombre o seudónimo que se utilizará al finalizar el concurso
para su publicación.
Los datos que los participantes faciliten para su registro en el Concurso
deberán ser veraces, por lo que perderán el derecho a participar todas
aquellas personas cuyos datos sean incorrectos o incompletos.

Octava: Jurado
El Jurado, será nombrado por la Corporación Insular y publicado en las
webs: www.grancanariacultura.com y www.relatoscortosxsms.com.
El Jurado, con la finalidad de proteger y estimular la creación literaria,
podrá eliminar del concurso aquellos trabajos que, a su entender, utilicen
un lenguaje grosero, ofensivo y/o discriminatorio.
Los trabajos presentados deberán ser inéditos. Si en el momento del
fallo, o hasta el momento de la entrega efectiva del premio, el jurado o
la organización detectara algún caso de plagio, o de que ya haya sido
publicado el relato, será eliminado del concurso.
El jurado estará facultado para resolver toda cuestión de su competencia
que no hubiera quedado establecida de modo explícito en estas bases.
Novena: Comunicación a los ganadores del concurso
La organización se pondrá en contacto telefónicamente, por sms, o por
correo electrónico, con los finalistas designados por el jurado y los
ganadores del público, desde el que se envió el texto y durante los siete
días hábiles posteriores al fallo del jurado, para comunicarle que ha sido
seleccionado y convocarlo al acto de lectura del acta del jurado, donde
se desvelarán los ganadores y se entregarán los premios.
El Acto de Entrega de Premios será visible en tiempo real en la web,
pudiendo incluso conectar con el o los ganadores si éstos no estuviesen
presentes en el acto de entrega, haciendo de este modo posible una
entrega “virtual”.
La no localización de los ganadores y/o la no asistencia de manera
injustificada al acto de entrega del premio suponen la pérdida del derecho
al premio.
Sólo se entregará un premio por persona y categoría (siendo éste el de
más valor).
Décima: Aceptación del premio
La aceptación del premio por el ganador implica expresamente la
autorización a la organización para utilizar publicitariamente su nombre
e imagen, siempre en relación con este Concurso, perdiendo el derecho
a disfrutar el premio en caso de negativa.
Decimoprimera: Exenciones
La organización está exenta de cualquier responsabilidad por los daños
derivados del uso incorrecto o inadecuado del texto, que pudieran sufrir
el premiado o demás participantes, por parte de terceros.
Decimosegunda: Actuaciones irregulares
En el caso de que el Cabildo de Gran Canaria o cualquier empresa ligada
al presente concurso detecten cualquier anomalía o sospechen que un
participante está impidiendo el normal desarrollo de la promoción o
alterando ilegalmente sus registros mediante cualquier procedimiento
para así falsear los resultados, podrán de forma unilateral eliminar la
inscripción de ese participante. A este respecto es importante añadir que
el Cabildo de Gran Canaria habilitará los necesarios soportes tecnológicos
para detectar cualquier posible actuación fraudulenta, anómala o dolosa
que pretenda alterar la participación normal en el presente concurso con
el objetivo de lograr un premio o su participación de forma ilícita. Por
tanto, el Cabildo de Gran Canaria se reserva el derecho de eliminar del
registro (y con ello la posibilidad de lograr premios) a cualquier participante
que evidencie o del que se sospeche una actuación irregular en el sentido
descrito, sin perjuicio de la adopción de otras medidas que en su caso
estime oportunas.
Decimotercera: Resolución de controversias
Para la resolución de cualquier controversia o discrepancia que pudiera
surgir en cuanto a la interpretación o aplicación de las presentes bases,
todas las partes se someten expresamente a la jurisdicción y competencia
de los Juzgados y Tribunales de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, con
renuncia expresa al fuero que pudiera corresponderles.
Decimocuarta: Cláusula de protección de datos
En cumplimiento de la Ley Orgánica 15/1999, de 13 de diciembre, de
Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal, conforme al art. 5 relativo al
derecho de información en la recogida de datos, El Cabildo de Gran
Canaria, le informa que el dato relativo al teléfono con el que usted ha
participado será eliminado una vez finalizado el concurso y que en caso
de ser finalista y/o ganador será necesario que facilite los datos de carácter
personal solicitados para realizar la gestión y control del concurso. Los
datos y la información facilitados serán incorporados temporalmente en
ficheros informatizados del Cabildo de Gran Canaria, responsable del
tratamiento y destinatario de los datos e información, para la gestión y
control del concurso. Estos datos serán eliminados una vez finalizados
los trámites de la gestión del concurso.
Asimismo, dirigiéndose por escrito al Cabildo de Gran Canaria, usted
podrá ejercitar los derechos de acceso, rectificación, cancelación y
oposición previstos en la Ley.

El Corte Inglés contribution is announcing the III Literary Com-
petition SMS of Gran Canaria, about short stories.
The competition will take place according to the following rules:
First: Requirements of the short stories.
The stories, written in Spanish language (admitting the new sms writing),
could have a maximum extension of 130 printed characters including
spaces and must be totally unpublished and not prized winner at the very
moment of the prize-giving.
Second: Topic.
The Island
Third: Range of the competition.
National: Through your mobile telephone, the stories must be written and
sent from national mobile phones.
International: The competition it`s internationalized and in this edition it`s
also available to participate through Twitter.
Fourth: Dates of the Competition.
The closing date to participate would be from April 23th at 00:00 hours
until May 24 th 2010 at 00:00.
The jury will announce his decision within the 30 days after the end of the
competition.
The jury`s decision would be announced in public within the 60 days
following the end of the competition. At the same time prizes from the jury
and the public would be given.
The public could vote to the best stories from May 24th at 00:00 hours
until June 15th at 00:00. After this deadline no votes would be effective.
The finalist stories would be announced within the 25 days after the end
of the competition.
Fifth: Prizes.
The winners would be published in the webs www.grancanariacultura.com
& www.relatoscortosxsms.com
There would be two first prizes:
• From the public.
• From the jury.
Also would be 4 finalists:
• 2 chosen by the public.
• 2 chosen by the jury.
Prizes from the public:
The prizes from the public would be decided from the public`s direct voting
through the web www.relatoscortosxsms.com. Each user registered in
the web could only vote once to each story but could vote to as many
different stories as he wishes.
• First prize from the public: 400€.
• Finalist from the public: 200€ for each one of them.
These prizes would be given with El Corte Inglés prize card, contributor
of the competition.
Prizes from the Jury
The Jury will select a single winner and two finalists, who will receive this
prizes:
• First prize from the Jury: 400€.

Sixth: Contestants.
Anyone could take part, individually if has 15 years of age, with texts of
their own writing in Spanish (admitting SMS writing) of a maximum extension
of 130 printed characters including spaces.
If the prize winner is underage or handicapped, his right to get the prize
it would always be subject to a previous written authorization from the
parents or legal tutors, also, there must be picture photocopy ID of the
person authorizing.
Taking part in the competition means the assumption of these rules and
would authorize the Cabildo of Gran Canaria to publish whichever stories
they consider.
Seventh: Sending the stories.
By SMS: RELATO SPACE +130 printed characters.
To take part in the competition, you must send the reference RELATO
followed by space and your text which would have no more than 130
printed characters, by sms (text message) to the telephone: 663 275 182.
As a proof of participation, contestants will receive a message with a
reference code that must be kept until the prize is given. This code will
identify, at the web site, the story. In case to be a winner, they would ask
for this reference code. The same day the prize is given.

The jury, with the final thought of stimulate and protect literary works could
eliminate from the competition those works, to their best thought; use a
grotesque, offensive or discriminatory language.
The texts participating must be unpublished. If by any change, the jury or
the organization notices any kind of plagiarism, text will be eliminated at
once.
The jury would be able to resolve any question of his competence even
though it`s not established in this rules.
Ninth: Contacting the winners
The organization would get in touch by phone, by SMS or by E-mail with
the finalist assigned by the public, from when the text was sent and during
7 days after the jury`s verdict to inform that`s been chosen and call him
in to the jury´s act, where would be reveal the winners and prizes would
be given.
The act of the prize-giving would be visible in real time in the web, being
also able to connect with it or the winners if by any change they would not
be able to be at the act, making this possible for a virtual prize-giving.
No locating the winners and/or an unjustified absence to the prize-giving
act would mean to lose the right to the prize.
One prize would be given for one person and category, being last one of
more value.
Tenth: Accepting the prize.
By accepting the prize, the winner authorize the organization to use his
name and image for advertising purposes, always related to this competition,
losing the right to enjoy the prize in case of denial.
Eleventh: Exemptions.
The organization is exempt of any responsibility for damages from the
incorrect use of contestant`s text by third parties.
Twelfth: Irregularities.
In case the Cabildo of Gran Canaria or any companies linked to this
competition detect any anomalies or suspect that a contestant is altering
illegally the normal development of the competition by any procedure to
false the results, they would unilaterally eliminate his participation right
away.
To this matter it`s important to state that the Cabildo of Gran Canaria would
make the necessary efforts and technological support to detect any possible
falsely act that would alter the normal participation of this competition,
therefore the Cabildo of Gran Canaria has the right to eliminate from the
registry to any contestant that shows irregularities.
Thirteenth: Resolutions.
For resolutions of any problems or discrepancies that might appear about
the interpretations or applications of these rules, all parties submit themselves
to the jurisdiction of the courts of Las Palmas of Gran Canaria, renouncing
the privilege that could correspond to them.
Fourteenth: Clause for data protection.
In compliance to the organic law 15/1999 13 of December Personal
Characters of Data Protection, in accordance to the article 5 related to the
right of information in the data processing.
The Cabildo of Gran Canaria, inform that the relative data of the telephone
that you have participated with, would be eliminated once the competition
it`s over and in case you are finalist or winner would be necessary, to
facilitate personal information for the control of the competition. This
information would be transferred to computer files of the Cabildo temporarily.
This information would be erased once the competition it's over.
At the same time, you have the right of access, cancellation rectification
of your information at any time.
