Born: May 27, 1947Background: Grew up in Detroit, Michigan as the sixth of nine children. Attendedhigh school in Detroit at Southeastern. Played basketball and ran track inhigh school, and ran track in college.Travel: Central and Northern Europe, Canada, Japan, Thailand, Brazil, Mexicoand other parts of Central America, South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya,Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, the Seychelles, Botswana, Ethiopia,Malawi, India, New Zealand, Australia.
