Have you seen them?Those fragile,minutely designed,exquisitely coloredflowersGod created?Some are so tiny,so thin of fabric,so easy to be broken,If I had made such fragility I would have built around themthick....glass....cases,Protecting them day and nightFrom nature’s harshand careless touch.But God had different thoughts:He planted treasures— delicate, fragile treasures —In the desert’s heatand barrenness,In the tundra’s coldand wasted wilds,In the jungle’s wetand monstrous growth.And everywhereGod’s jewelssurviveand thrive,and seem doubly,triply preciousbecause they livewhere fragile gems should never grow.And in those wild and barren soilsThey speak of God.

The family of God is the Church

the family through the new birth (John 3:5).
