enry Mintzberg
H
enry Mintzberg is known for hispioneering work in the field of strategic management inorganizations. Born in Montreal, heearned his BA from Sir GeorgeWilliams University in 1962, BEngfrom McGill University, and hisMaster¶s and PhD degrees from theMassachusetts Institute of Technology.
Since 1968, he has been a professor in the Management Faculty atMcGill, where he holds theCleghorn Chair in ManagementStudies.
H
e is an Officer of theOrder of Canada and recipient of the 1996 Léon-Gérin Prix duQuébec. In addition to outdoor sports, Dr. Mintzberg enjoys shortstory writing.
