1Primary National Strategy:Learning Walks: Tools and templates or gettingstarted This booklet gives you some tools and templates that you can use to help you plan andconduct your Learning Walks. The templates are designed to give you ideas and rameworks or planning your walk,collecting data during the walk and reecting on what your walk has taught yourwalkers about the school.When you are planning your walk you will need to agree protocols with the sta romthe school where you are walking and with the walkers. Part o this agreement will beabout the tools and orms that you use. You can use the rameworks in this guide as abasis or these discussions but your walk will be more successul i you adapt them tosuit your context, your schools and your sta. There are some questions your school will need to consider BEFORE you walk. We havelearnt that paying attention to these questions as part o the planning o the walk willhelp your Learning Walks to be a successul and useul learning experience or all thoseinvolved.What will you have to do to get leaders on board and active?
