TODD BENTLEY ~ AN ANGEL CALLED EMMA
"God's greatest concern is not what Christians are falling into but what they are falling away from! Multitudes of Christians including pastors, deacons, ministry people of all kinds are losing their faith and confidence in the power of Jesus' name! They are turning away from Christ as the answer to everything. They are falling away from a childlike faith in Him alone as the solution to all life's problems. There is a wholesale turning to methods, to psychology, to human expertise, to the philosophies and doctrines of men." David Wilkerson, The Great Apostasy!

Let get something straight first Canadian Revivalist (Sorcerer) Todd Bentley is not a brethren unless you consider unrepented liars, thieves, adulterers and deceivers to be Christians!
Second the bible is very clear about Todd Bentley and his supporters: GAL 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 5:21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 5:23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 5:24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Third These false prophets and apostles are sent by Satan, as the bible says they will be. These men are actually fulfillment of scripture. Jesus told us the false ones would come. Jesus told us to be watchful and wary of them. We are to test all things to scripture. They have come and we must be aware of them and avoid them at all costs.
I think you make your point and maybe you are right...but do not forget who the accuser of the brethren is and do not forget further that the accuser uses the brethren to accuse each other, hence causing dissension in the body. As The Body of Christ, we are one Body, while many members. Be careful with accusations. It's ok to bring certain facts to light, but to straight up accuse someone...Jesus only accused the religious self-righteous ones...Be very careful because what you judge will fall on you...and there is a thin line between discernment and judgment, are you sure you are not crossing that line?
a very inspirational article if not a little biased towards Christianity
The church Mckenzie was referring to is the same I was describing in my comment, but in Sao Paulo, Brazil. They saw angels everywhere, even opening doors of cars for the pastors, or their house doors for them. They talked to Daniel and Jeremiah! The talked to Paul! They would go to heaven at any minute they wished. Does it not sounds very much like Todd Bentley? They became so heretical that many people opened their eyes and left, but the church still goes on strong.
The HOLY ONE has reveiled Himself to His servants in the past. Every teaching now, He wanted to bestow us is given already. Now: if anyone thinks he needs further revelation apart from this book, he expects of the RIGHTOUS ONE to lie. In this case it does not matter whether someone converses with "Angels" or he pretends to have prophecies or that "God" has told him - and then a revolution follows rather than a revelation. It is the same pattern worldwide. If someone does not want to obey the truth he eventually will - must - be given a heresy, a lie! You cannot believe in something "neutral" or in a "higher" truth. If someone does not accept the truth as it is given - there is no neutral knowledge or higher truth - but:
2 Thess 2:10-12 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Attention: Not the devil sends the delusion, the lie, not satan does - no! God himself sends it! By whom? By "Emma" e. g. (and her servant).
I'd agree that there is a lot of wierdness (and sadness if he is getting divorced), but, although I'm not a fan of tattoos on this scale at the best of times, don't go overboard with some of the "demonic" analysis...
Page 10 shows a "warrior demonic god" on his leg. Could this not just be a "warrior?" where is the demonic element of this image?
p.11: says "The Lion is a solar deity and not an analogy of Christ" - so on that basis is C.S.Lewis's "The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe" and the rest of the Chronicles or Narnia therefore demonic in representing Jesus as the lion Aslan?
Also references to "A Pentagram" on his arm - this is in fact a Star of David, a SIX pointed star made of 2 triangles, which is a Jewish symbol and part of the flag of Israel, not a 5 pointed pentagram.
"An inverted cross" - is it inverted? Depends which way you look at it! Elsewhere there are references to the image of Jesus on his arm being upside down - It's only upside down if you look at it when his arms are raised - with his arms by his side it's the right way up...
Yeah, I wouldn't get these tatoos, and personally don't think he should have in the position he was in. Yeah some of them are wierd, unpleasant, or obscure (Japanese words meaning what?). But, don't interpret them all as demonic just because they're tattoos.
look at this and you will be totally convinced, "bam bam bam bam" - we all must rewrite the bible in order to find this magic word: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Run8hW9UEzI
I saw Todd Bentley in TV first time today...I was horrified.
The body art made me sick. Also, I was reminded of a church we know in Brazil that started having visions of angels, they ended up 'receiving ' a book that became superior to the Bible, so the pastor threw the Bible down the pulpit saying he didn't need that any longer. Things became really weird and lots of real Christians left, but hordes came in looking for a cheap thrill.
Can't wait until I can spend more time reading this article.
I don't think you even need to be so spiritually descerning to see that something is major wrong with this man. I am so suprised, this is so blantantly against Scripture, that any Christians would fall for it.
Wow, they are so eaily decieved, his teachings are so whacked out.
Just to be honest, the scripture against tattooing, is nestled in with ones on not rounding the edges of your beard, and other completely ignored commands.
Could Todd Bentley be another Jim Jones? In the early stages of his ministry there are striking similarities between Bentley and Jones. In 1955, Jones was prayed for a Latter Rain Pentecostal Conference by O.L. Jaggers who pronounced that he had a very special prophetic calling on his life. Years later when he founded the People’s Temple, Jones used faith healing to draw the masses much in the same way Bentley has in Lakeland. It may be a little premature to say Bentley is treading the same course as Jones, but I think it is a possibility we must be aware of. After all no one ever thought Jones would go to the extent he did by getting 918 people to commit suicide through drinking kool-aid laced with cyanide. Bentley’s claims show that he is very dangerous spiritually as he has placed much emphasis on angels, third heaven experiences, and has claimed experiences where his spirit left his body which is known to New Agers as astral projection. Could Bentley be even more than just a spiritual danger? Could he be leading his followers down the same course that Jim Jones led the People’s Temple in 1978 to the greatest mass cult suicide in history? I am drawing the comparisons and revealing Bentley’s false teachings at http://www.toddbentleyjimjones.blogspot.com
Reading your Bible? This was one of 8 visions & the "women" are representative. These stork women were not literal angels visiting prophets.
Here is a good prophetic commentary on what "women" represent as well as in this particular verse.(Nice picture as well)

Scripture tells us to know them that labor among us.
How do we close our eyes to the things that are not scriptural. I want revival as much as anyone but I want truth not error.
Watch the broadcast, why hype everyone up? Praise and worship should glorify God, not a movement!
I have been told by many Pastors and christians that you have to take the meat, and throw away the bones, the truth is the truth, and there needs to be a seperation.
The truth will make you free.
Christians the word tells us in the last days there will be seducing spirits, and unsound doctrine, and people will flock to the teachings.
Will you be one?
32Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
33Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
34Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
Wow, I bet if you tried hard enough you could tie Todds stains in his underwear to the Occult!!! I bet his Toe Cheese has smells that Ex-Satanist say are very similar to the smell of Demons!! I think you should research this.
I recoginize the tat on page 10 as from celtic not Asian mythology. This guy is worse than Jim Jones or any of the other false prophets that I have ever seen/read of!! Most people don't know how to address or counter such as this. This is aggregious and discusting.
Motovilo,
I ran across this utube clip and thought of you. Many people in your camp come to Bentley's defense with "He can perform "signs, wonders,& resurrections" all in the name of Jesus which is proof that his "anointing" power must be from God.
So far my replies have been Biblical-that indeed evil spirits can also perform miracles in the name of Jesus.
So when I ran across this Christians woman's testimony of how she was the actual assistant of a woman who performed "miraculous" operations in the name of Jesus-I thought it may provide some insight into what can be done in His name and not come from a Godly source.
(By the way-the Holy Spirit did protect her and she eventually got away from it.)

Only time will tell...
I can support any ministry that is of God and then distance myself from it if and when it goes astray. In Church history this has occurred often. I do not believe Todd Bentley's gone astray. He is preaching Jesus Christ, he's praying for the sick and he's casting out demons. Seeing angels is not a heresy. Worshipping them is. Todd doesn’t worship angels.
Remember that Satan doesn't destroy his own kingdom. In some of the early meetings I saw a few people get delivered, in the name of Jesus Christ, from really visible demonic spirits who were clearly manifesting anger, pain, hatred and violence. Afterwards, when it came out, they were healed of whatever disease they had.
I guess the problem some of you guys have is with healing the sick today, or the manifestations of the Holy Spirit, like falling down or being overcome by His power, or with angels visitations. For years, I've been studying the history of prophetic manifestations in the Bible and throughout Church history. The way people are responding in Lakeland to the power of God is not even close to some things that happened in the past 4000 years. Some people believe revivals started during the couple of hundred years of American history. That’s just totally wrong. There've been revivals in Europe and other parts of the world since the Early Church age. A very long time before John Wesley, Jonathan Edwards or the Pentecostal awakening, Europe has experienced the gifts of the Holy Spirit, healing, deliverance, manifestations of the Holy Spirit. But most people don't know that. The gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit have been present non-stop since the Apostles. Church history clearly proves that.
About manifestations: in the Old Testament, "to prophesy" wasn't only speaking God's Word. The expression also meant being under the power of the Holy Spirit. Many times, prophets wouldn't even speak, they just manifested. People would even sometimes regard them as insane and make fun of them. Prophets (nabiy) used to also be called seers (roeh), visionaries (chozeh). "To prophesy" (naba) simply means to manifest, to be under the influence of a power. The verb is used for any physical manifestation caused by a spiritual influence or power. It's also used for demonic trances like king Saul's trance when he tried to kill David.
Being in a trance-like state doesn't say anything about the origin of the manifestation. The discerning of spirits is necessary to identify the origin. Because exactly the same manifestation, like falling down and shaking violently for example, can be caused either by God's Spirit, by a demonic influence or merely by the person's own reaction. Every spiritual manifestation can have one of three different origins (divine, demonic or human). It's not as simple as some people think: "if you fall forward, it's God and if you fall backwards, it's the devil". That's just totally ridiculous. You fall when you can't stand up anymore and you fall in the direction you're leaning.
There are several instances where men of God fall in a trance-like state in the Bible. Trances aren't necessarily demonic as many people think. The Hebrew noun is "Tardemah" which derives from the verb "Radam". Many translators of the Bible translate it "deep sleep" and "to fall asleep". It's a common mistake. It actually means "trance, ecstasy". The biblical Greek translation is "extasis". Interesting occurrences of ecstasy can be found in the biblical stories of Adam, Abraham, David and Saul, Daniel, Peter, Paul. For anyone interested I can provide more information on this subject.
Trances, prophetic ecstasy and manifestations are part of the Old and New Testament. The problem is people don't know enough Hebrew and Greek to figure it out. The English translators often choose words that don't reflect the full meaning of the text.
