NOTESi

1. T.he b.,arrel bushirtg must be turned down by lathe to an outs'ide diarnete'r of .1 t 398~' ~ 1.400tt (sl ip fit into tube) .. The best method is to' turn the barrel bushing be·t'We~n cent·ers. for a conoerit.r Lc cut .. DO NOT REMOVE ANY PART OF THE OLD TUBING THAT MAY BE ATTACHED TO THE BARREL 'BUSHING EX.CEPT BY TURNI'NG IT DOWN IN A LATHE OR IT MAY BE UNDERSIZE. THE INSIDE DIAMET~ OF T~E NEW TUBING IS A FEW THOUSANTHS OF AN INCH LARGER THAN THE OR,IGINALS' (mQdern stock sizes). The' barre1 b~shing Should be 1. 5t' 1.ong. Slide the barrel bushing intq the front Q·f the reoe Lve.r tubing until flush and silver-braze,. spot-weld or button-weld .. into p~ace.

2~ Th~ ejector fits into tne hole behind the mag~zine port. It should be silver~b.razed in place. Filing the top of the ejector may be required to get a pro·per fit .. The bol t must be ab1e to just slide fre'e~y .over the top of the 'ejector'll Test with an empty cartridge case .. When the action l.S worked. rapidly I the CaSe should be ·thrown clear of the action.

3 t The trigg·e.r group and rear hous'ing should be velded onto the receiver

tUbing. .

4. T~e magazine housing may require" some material rem9ved from the inte'rior d Lamet.er to allow it to slide frerely over ·the receiver when as-

se~bli~. ~hB gun. '

5. Aft.er the b~rre1 bushing. is welded in :p1ace ~ the furthest forward ho1.e ahout.d be qr.illed comp1etely thrQugh o'n .one side to allow the 1;1~rreI ~ock to ~ont:.act. the serr~tion~ on the b'arre'l ~ The' hole .dr illed pre-

viously in ·the receiver t.ubing acts as a gu~de for this step. .
