Dear Delaware Driver:Perhaps more than in any other country, Americans arein love with their cars. Our vehicles are not only a modeof transportation, but often a reflection of ourlifestyle.Whether residents get behind the wheel to drive to workor for leisure, our State strives to continuously main-tain our roadways and to ensure they are used properly. Please remember that driving is a privilege and aresponsibility. Your car belongs to you, but the streetsand highways you drive on belong to all of us. AsGovernor, I strongly encourage you to be considerate andcareful when you drive.Follow the rules of the road, fasten your seatbelt, anddon’t drink and drive. Also think about the way youractions affect the environment. Share a ride, conserveyour trips, or try transit.I encourage every driver to be responsible and safe andto enjoy driving in Delaware.Sincerely,Ruth Ann MinnerGovernor
