Day Three Cue Sheet
Lekunberri – Pamplona (36.4 km)
Although the day begins with a bit of uphill riding, the ascent is relatively gentle and the payoff is the great downhillthat you get as you ride down from Madotz into Irurtzun (be careful on those hairpin turns!). The highway fromIrurtzun into Pamplona can be busy, but has wide shoulders, and until the Vía Verde’s completed all the way downinto Pamplona, is the easiest way of getting into the city.
