The 143rd Annual Exhibition o the American Watercolor Society opens on Tues., April 6th. Over 1,200 artists rom throughout the US and more than a dozen oreign countries submitted their work to a panel o jurors chosen romsignature members o the AWS. O these submissions, approximately 100 paintings were selected or the exhibi- tion. The American Watercolor Society is one o the oldest and most prestigious exhibition societies in the U.S.Membership has included American Impressionist Childe Hassam, the well-known regionalist Dong Kingman,and the late Andrew Wyeth. The Annual Exhibition will be held in the galleries o the historic Salmagundi Club inGreenwich Village. The exhibition is ree and open to the public.
