This i paca retaliation 2 fe mayor has failed despite his promises todo 50, to open the MBTA pedestran bridge between Boy Street onthe west and Kent eld Streets on the eas, spanning the rtiroad tracks or fo provide altematve transportation for Lawrence Public School students and thers crossing the ralroad tracks inthe Inman Street drea, He also failed to respond fo a July 31, 2015 letter, asking that he fake action in n with the bridge, to safeguard Laivrenoe Pubic School students and others crossing thé ralroad tracks inthe Inman Street grea, Funpetmore, he has failed fo respond lo an onfine petiton signed by over fitesn Fundred (1500) persons asking that he reopen tre bridge! 3, <_ The mayor has compromised the safety ofthe community and broken fis campaign promises by falling to reopen fire stations on both ‘Ari@5 Stet and Bailey Street in Lawrence. 4. _ The mayor has broken campaign promises to appoint a search committee to recommend candidates forthe position of chief of police, {hereby denying ‘community input and participation to the process of selecting a police chief 5. _7_The mayor has violated the civil rights of appointed city personne! by terminating them without due process and afar hearing, as {eed bythe Cy Chair. The mayor has threatensd to terminate two qualied city employees in budgeted positions in an effort to maintain a clty engineerin Hlanég~ot the City Counci, which eliminated funding for thal postion.
