“Selasih” memicu adrenalin saya, banyak hal yang ingin sekali diungkapkan dalam“The Seducer”, salah satunya adalah pemahaman saya mengenai prosesmembangun tata kelola kebijakan dalam pembangunan. Menurut saya,pembangunan niscaya dibangun melalui rayuan-rayuan yang dilakukan banyakpihak dengan banyak kepentingan. Namun, rayuan-rayuan dalam pembangunanmemperlihatkan karakter yang lebih mengkhawatirkan karena kemampuannyamenciptakan ilusi lalu menghadirkannya dalam bentuk kenyataan yang tidakterbantahkan sifat kenyataannya. Dalam kondisi sedemikian rupa, ilusi-ilusi yangdihadirkan dari rayuan membentuk dirinya jauh melebihi kemampuan kenyataanyang sebenarnya, bahkan ilusi-ilusi dari daya pikat rayuan adalah kenyataan itusendiri.
