To all of our valued Rad Cat customers,

Many of you may be aware that the FDA has recently launched a campaign where multiple samples of raw pet food
products have been (and are still being) collected, and tested for pathogens. As a result, there have been multiple recalls
associated with this testing, among several brands of raw pet food. It is incredibly unfortunate that an entire category of
pet products has been singled out and it is unprecedented in the industry.
At Radagast, we have always taken food safety very seriously. We produce in our own facility, where we follow the
strictest food safety guidelines and we carefully source all of our ingredients. We strive to continuously improve and
enhance the safety of our products and look ahead to comply with future regulations.
While Rad Cat has never had a recall event, we feel we need to take the next step in reducing pathogen risk to our poultry
products. Beginning in January, we will have all of our whole poultry thigh and leg and poultry organs processed using
high pressure processing (HPP). This process will not be applied to our finished product only the poultry ingredients.
We anticipate the chicken that has been enhanced with HPP to begin shipping beginning Jan. 22, with lot #62382 and the
turkey to begin shipping in early February, with lot #62392.
All Rad Cat products provide the same nutrition and maintain the same palatability that cats love. We have conducted
many taste tests and have found that cats devour our products produced with HPPd poultry as voraciously (if not more)
than our products made with non-HPPd poultry.
While HPP does not compromise the nutritional quality of the food, there will be a slight difference in the color and
texture of the product. Because our products are minimally processed, it will be more noticeable in our products than in
other brands. To explain the visual change to our broad consumer base, we will be adding a label to our lid that says,
Made with HPP processed poultry. Our poultry products will only have this labelling for about six months, as its meant
to be a notification to existing Rad Cat consumers:

The quality and sourcing of our ingredients and the integrity of our products is unchanged. The addition of this HPP step
is to simply enhance the safety of our poultry thigh and leg and organ meats, by removing any pathogens that may be
present in the raw materials we receive.
There are many myths and misinformation about HPP and its effects on raw meat. Much information that is on the
internet and advertised by companies that do not use HPP actually explains how HPP affects soy, dairy and other foods
not how it affects meat and poultry. Please visit our website at www.RadFood.com for information about HPP, the
process, and how it affects meats and poultry, in particular.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you for your continued support of Rad Cat Raw Diet.
Sincerely,
